Look Into My(Space) Crystal Ball

If MySpace is the indicator of everything true and right (and when is it not?), then it looks like we might already have a winner set up for the Next Food Network Star.

Let's take a look at the friend counts:

Amy tops out at the bottom of the list with 279.

Paul is a close 2nd loser with only 429.

JAG is barely ahead with only 539.

Rory has a slight lead with 646.

Adrien is the big winner with 1,303 friends, as of this morning!

Are we setting ourselves up for a tight competition between Rory and Adrien? I think/hope so.

It will be a happy, happy day when JAG leaves. Is it too much to ask that he go inhale some weapon cleaner and be hit by a fast moving bus before he ever leaves NYC? NC doesn't need him.

The show became a complete farce to me when Michael was elminated. He never lost a challenge and never was within the final two left during each elmination. He's professional, experienced, and mature. Maybe that was the kiss of death combo.

Adrien's local newspaper has been giving him weekly publicity on his progress in the show. I would say that lends itself to several hundred MySpace friends.

I hope Amy is next to go. She is the most irritating person on the planet.

Although Adrien did win one challenge, I don't see him as a good cook yet. He has so many myspace friends I would say only because he's good-looking (and straight maybe).

There are so many technicalities.

When you see a friend count, it may not add up to who is actually on the list (people get deleted on a daily basis for TOS violations).

Don't forget die hard fans who make multiple profiles to help "boost" friend counts.

And lastly, are all of the contestants' friends legitimate, or are some "porn bots?" ;)

I think they need to start all over again. They pretty much all suck.

Rory makes me cringe. JAG is a baby. The rest of them are as exciting as tap water.

I'm betting on Rory and Adrien. I would like to see a female win the contest just once. But, Adrien seems to be quite innovative and pliable for a guy.

Giada can be such a witch! Heh. I kinda like it (this may be why although I roll my eyes at Amy her attitude does not offend me as much as it does most everyone else on here).

Except for the fact that he NEVER cooked anything, Adrien was great...if by great you mean awful. He obviously thought he'd make it on his looks alone.
