Voting Ends Soon

Whoa... I barely had time to digest all of these JAG comments before I realized voting ENDS at 9 a.m. EDT today!

[Click on the pic to vote]

Is this a much shorter voting period than before?!? I still can't decide who should get my vote(s). Hurry!

It is much shorter. Also, last time Guy and Reggie both shot a mini (I think 5-10 minute) demo show that you got to view before voting.

. . .and there you have another way in which this season is less a show about finding someone who would be a good FN host, and more about producing a show that's no more than a third or fourth rate knock off of Top Chef.

Vote for Amy, both because she'd be better and as a protest vote for the fact that she got hosed. She should have been in the final two on her own merits, not because of JAG-gate.

Amy's from CA so maybe the time should be extended until 11 EST or so.

Why bother voting? They both suck.

Please vote for Amy! She's got the whole package. Besides her one homesick breakdown, she's done consistently well overall. Food Network doesn't currently have anyone who's got a French twist to things--and seems to know a bit about other cuisines as well! Most importantly, I know I'd actually learn new things from watching a show with her. Yes, her Francophile tendencies can sometimes be a little off-putting, but I think that's just because she's passionate about the food and the culture. Besides, I think the judges were really giving her mixed messages about that.

I just don't see what Rory has to offer that FN doesn't already have. Besides not seeming to have much food knowledge, she performed really unevenly in her challenges--even placing at the bottom of the bunch in several of them. I'm really surprised she wasn't kicked off after episode 1. Her cake, which looked like something a 5-year-old would have thrown together, still haunts me!

Anna - We already have someone who has French twist - It's Ina Garten. We don't need another Ina.

I went for Amy too. I think she has been consistently better. Rory did well cooking-wise when she had to cook stuff exactly in her area of speciality. Amy did well in many areas, like when she did the goat cheese mushroom thing in the Iron Chef competition. She may have to work on making her food a bit more accessible but I think overall she is much better equipped than Rory. And for those who say FN alread has somebody like Amy, I say what about Rory? Her style seems to be backyard grilling, which is definitely Bobby Flay territory.

I agree. I voted for Amy. Rory is off an on, and she is trying too hard just on looks alone.
Amy is solid and I would definitely learn from her.

None of the above

I think they should both be the Next Food Network Star - they are better together than either one is individually ... anonymous from illinois

Rory is a horseface, and Amy is a snob. Ugh. None of the above.

I opted for Amy because I feel that I can actually relate to her style more than the "blue coller" no "Tex Mex" no "Backyard kick back easy food" no...wait I just had it...

I like Rory but I would not plan to watch her and probably not cook a thing from her recipes.

I came in late on the season, but what is Rory's deal? I never got a good feel for what her speaciality was. At least Amy was consistent and has a nice appeal. Too bad she is a lot like several other current hosts.

How about a vegetarian chef?

I vote for a re-cast.

Food Network's site is upgefukked, here. They claim that one can vote every day, but I've been blocked for 2 days in a row.

i'm sorry to say i think both finalists are lacking. rory can't seem to cook well at all. her personality is irritating as is her smile. amy.. she just comes across as being snobby and inaccesible. i don't think many people would watch either of them at all.

I vote for Amy. Rory is fake I will never watch a show with her, Yuck. I would have loved to see Paul and Amy go head to head. Go Paul, I hope you get a great show Paul.

Paul, yes I would have voted for Paul. Foodnetwork what is wrong with you? We the people loved Paul. But if this is who we get I vote Amy.

Rory has really big teeth. Now that is mean but when you watch tv you like to look at pretty people. If I had to vote I'd vote Amy even if Rory was a better cook because I don't like looking at Rorys face.

Paul oh my gosh I was thinking the same thing. Paul should have won the show!!!

I suspect (and hope) that Paul will do a Lyonesque move and parlay his exposure into something on another network. He was cute, funny, sassy, and very appealing.
