Free Seasoning Packet with Every Book Purchased

After just talking about the omnipresent food pun, Sandra Lee goes and releases yet another one... and it's great:

Sandra's "fascinating, heartrending story of mind over matter and the strength of the human spirit" is set to release Nov. 6.

I think she took a page from Paula Deen's "It Ain't All About the Cookin'" for the cover shot's inspiration, though. Yikes.

Man. I am so excited. You can't see my serious face, but you should be able to tell by my serious declarative sentences. And it comes out just in time for my birthday. I love that it's billed as "A Memoir." Whenever a book has that on the cover page, you know it's serious stuff. No messin' in this book; it's a MEMOIR.

Time for sad, poor childhood story version 6.0, and birthdate revision 9000-something.

Do we get a free cocktail with every book as well?

I hear we get a taco seasoning packet with a purchase of two or more memoirs.

In the picture on the cover, she looks not unlike a young boy. Very plain. I wonder why she chose that look; it certainly is not a glam look. She looks much younger than she is. Maybe botox is what accounts for this youthful, fresh-faced photo.

Made from Scratch? That's like Paula Deen referring to her life as "Made in Japan..". No, Aunt Sandy is all about cutting corners--cutting corners or a culinary career and
cutting corners in the kitchen.

Sandra Lee and "from Scratch"? Surely, you jest.

They airbrushed the hell out of her face.

No, Botox is what accounts for her inability to move her eyebrows or forehead on her television show.

amanda: haha... i know. A MEMOIR... with fun bits of fiction thrown in.

jordan: only this time: it's sadder!

rd: yes, it's in another packet. you just add water and shake.

marc: buenĂsimo!

anon: yeah, botox and photoshop. she's lead a hard life, y'all!

gregory: i would love a "Made in Japan" book out by Paula.

jennifer: i wish.

marc: that evidently not the "from scratch" part.

gen: her illegitimate daughter, perhaps?

anon: but she sure tries.

Either that, or this is what you look like the morning after a couple of pitchers of vodka laced with Hershey's syrup and strawberry ice cream.

Actually, she looks transgendered here. Not that there's anything wrong with that. She's thinking Movie of the Week. You just know she is.
