Rachael Does Her Best 'Evita'
No, Rachael isn't trying to steal Madonna's signature role (although I guess Mo doesn't have to worry about there being a sequel)...
Rachael threw up her arms recently at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research benefit, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's."
The event attracted big names, such as Sheryl Crow, Susan Sarandon, Martin Scorsese, Muhammad Ali, and of course... Michael J. Fox.
Oprah (and the truckload of money) have really seemed to inspire Rachael to devote more time to charity work. Over the past week we've seen her sending care packages to soldiers overseas, talking up her Yum-O organization (which helps to feed hungry children and promote culinary education through scholarships), and even giving donations as gifts in her friends' names ("Then they get a little card in the mail that says, 'Rachael Ray made a donation in your name to XYZ.' I think that’s a neat way to give back.")
Way to go, Rach!
