I die laughing when they show her cutting green onions, and she isn't even holding the knife right, and she's like, "See, I'm not even cutting my fingers". Now she is Paula the Perv.
Big Daddy's House? Aaron? He is so rushed and I can hardly understand what he says at times.
The Neely's, Down Home?? I have to change the channel for fear of my kids seeing them spanking eachother on the bum. Come on, take her sugar already and make sure the camera is off when you do.
We need more healthy cooking shows! FN has always gotten on a roll of showing too much of one particular show. I can't tell you how many times I've tuned in to Paula's Home Cooking to see Jamie preparing that Mexican Chicken Casserole where the only thing remotely Mexican are the tortillas he uses in it.

And while I'm on the subject of the Deens, I have to wonder what kind of show on FN would have to do with sports figures. Unless Bobby plans to show us how athletes eat healthy - that would be a nice change, a show about healthy eating. Ellie has been so lonely up until now. Regardless, I think I'm going to have to watch this one if only for the fantasy factor of hunky food network star meets hunky athletes!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-46847409596891896842008-12-03T11:52:00.000-05:002008-12-03T11:52:00.000-05:00I agree.. Guy is annoying, but I usually like the people who run the diners -- they seem like people who really care about food and giving more to their customers than the typical diner crap. Outside of certain places that just make massive messes, these people for the most part really know how to cook and show creativity and pride in what they do. As people who like food, we should be happy when some diner owner has classically trained chefs or fresh ingredients or selections not normally found in diners... not insult them for it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-7469843668360207302008-12-03T10:53:00.000-05:002008-12-03T10:53:00.000-05:00I agree. FOOD... right? So cooking = food. But anyway, the point was that it's better to play a fresh or semi-fresh Barefoot Contessa show (for instance) at night instead of rerunning the same Challenge or Iron Chef show that's already been on ten times THAT WEEK. Fresh or semi-fresh content is always better than something that's been on a bunch of times already. "Good Eats" is also on at night, and that's a cooking show -- it's probably the most intensely "instructional" of them all. Why is that okay? Because Alton uses props? "Throwdown" and other shows have cooking elements to them. So if cooking shows don't have some sort of "plot" element -- like if you're just watching Tyler Florence make food -- it won't fly for people at night? I think that's ridiculous.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-56408050585663181052008-12-03T00:05:00.000-05:002008-12-03T00:05:00.000-05:00I understand that Bobby Deen will have his own sho...I understand that Bobby Deen will have his own show and that he is filming it now.
