I mean there are other great shows that don't feature "classically" trained chefs and are quite enjoyable.

I think the point is that Lord Tuschman has greenlighted some real stink shows that offend and alienate intelligent viewers and has taken measures to MTV-ize and dumb down content so those in a different bracket are inclined to watch.

No problem. I'll just change the channel. I'll send my donation gladly to my local PBS affiliate as they seem to know what people want and are dedicated to putting the best programs on the air.

Tuschman will soon find out that while he might be stacking the ratings with 18-35 yrs olds, the other demographics leave in droves . He will probably learn that people can learn more and entertain themselves by simply reading a magazine or cookbook, so why bother watching his stink programming ?

As for Gordon Elliot, he is just a little soldier to Tusch. This guy would tape a church supper if he thought anyone would watch it.

He is FN's "on call" low budget flunky. He is only partly to blame for the the Deen and Neely nonsense. To name a few.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-47210821258785447622008-06-11T00:20:00.000-04:002008-06-11T00:20:00.000-04:00gordon elliott comment someone made earlier is RIG...gordon elliott comment someone made earlier is RIGHT ON.(Gordon Elliot deserves Runner Up programming moron too. But it doesn't.

It's the same complaint people had with MTV. Yes, some of the shows may be "garbage," but they're getting a hell of a lot more people watching them than just 24 hours of music videos were.

While some may like to think it's in a publicly traded, for-profit network's best intentions to push some kind of educational or high-brow ethos, that only comes into play when it has the potential to increase the bottom line.jacobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05642572096409144868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-84387034857066777192008-06-10T22:31:00.000-04:002008-06-10T22:31:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.jacobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05642572096409144868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-67712646086134278462008-06-10T20:23:00.000-04:002008-06-10T20:23:00.000-04:00"Simple capitalism 101, keep the shareholders happ..."Simple capitalism 101, keep the shareholders happy, and your job is safe." Yes. For a publically-traded company keeping shareholders happy is higher priority than keeping customers happy. Judging by the stink he passes off as programming, I would say yes.

This guy has low budget written all over him.
Gordon Elliot deserves Runner Up programming moron too.
