I was addicted to it last season and I love that FN put the contestants in the commercials so you already kind of recognize them. And I already have a favorite.

And I bet these contestants' backgrounds were triple-checked this time. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-65372792245385880632008-05-05T21:03:00.000-04:002008-05-05T21:03:00.000-04:00They are nuts if they think I want to watch any of...They are nuts if they think I want to watch any of these people in a cooking show. What they have already is bad enough. Curious that they are now taking the decision out of the hands of the viewer since viewers voted for Amy over that charismaless blonde from NJ/Texas that Bob and Suzy loved.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-51381240437294771772008-05-05T19:23:00.000-04:002008-05-05T19:23:00.000-04:00The Next Food Network Star started out on a decent...The Next Food Network Star started out on a decent premise...ordinary people that could cook, aspiring to be a star. Now, there really isn't anything worth watching. Really, who wants to see a group like this "compete"? Where's the appeal to the at home gourmets, who watch? When I saw Cory Kahaney was a finalist I decided that the shows producers (and "selection" committee) had taken leave of their senses. Why doesn't she get a sponsor and just do her own show "What's Cory Doing to be on TV this season?" She doesn't have that "fresh new face" since you find her on Comedy Central reruns. And really, do you believe she cooks? And, oh, look--the kid from Nick Networks "All That" has grown up and needs another gig. I wonder how all those Food Network groupies who sent in their homemade tapes feel now that they see who Food Network "really" wants. Executive chefs, gourmet chef/kitchenware designer ex-beauty queen, CIA graduates; sure mom of three from Podunk USA, send us your happy homemaker, I can be a star video..of course you have a chance to be the next Food Network Star. Sure, that will happen about as quick as Spam becomes the next "secret ingredient" on Iron Chef. Please, just the Pepto.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03979715556694056775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-89396119014166478692008-05-04T15:01:00.000-04:002008-05-04T15:01:00.000-04:002 dude catering?? how many more crap shows can FN...2 dude catering?? how many more crap shows can FN think up?? Most of them are all the same concept ( traveling to eat...ooohhhhhh!!) , with different people doing the same stuff, who already have 5 other shows anyway....Paulas Party? How about Paula's Embarrassing Breakdown? Food Network has almost completely LOST their Vision and sight of what most people that originally loved the network watched it for....its all parodies now. They need to clean house, get RID of Bob Tushie-Man and hire some folks that know tv and the market.
They need to get some 2's back....2 hot tamales.....2 fat ladies..... anything but more paula or rachael....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-26879624299094386832008-05-02T11:29:00.000-04:002008-05-02T11:29:00.000-04:00Amy Finley may have won the people's vote on NFNS3...Amy Finley may have won the people's vote on NFNS3, but she apparently lost it where it counted in the end - the Nielsen vote and the vote of the advertisers looking for the 18-34 male demographic.

If a new show can't attract the advertisers who pay FNs bills, it gets dropped. See 2 Dudes Catering for another example.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-85098226846010620532008-05-01T20:33:00.000-04:002008-05-01T20:33:00.000-04:00This makes me soooo upset!
