I live in his hometown of Jackson, MI and he is a superstar here, and he was before he was on TNFNS. He is a devoted father and husband, and never lets his "fame" go to his head. You cannot talk to him without feeling good and walk away smiling.
Also, let's not forget that Amy ASKED to go home at one point during the show. At that point I lost a ton of repect for her, but she did an okay job and I know they all did their best and should be very proud.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-61963556421404594742007-09-09T18:52:00.000-04:002007-09-09T18:52:00.000-04:00Tito ADrien, it's adree, that gal... I knew that my best chance in this competition was to use my experience of hosting my own show. My statement was meant to come across by explaining that I did believe that I did the best I could have and I felt It went very well for me. I'm definately proud to be in the top 5! I'm still hosting my show in Jackson weekly and continuing to work on my dream. Of course I realize that the show itself was edited and I don't assume you are a certain way based on the way you were portrayed. The quote itself, however, in a newspaper was not edited (that I'm aware of) and that's what caught me by surprise.jacobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05642572096409144868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-20832002770256673502007-07-30T22:59:00.000-04:002007-07-30T22:59:00.000-04:00Adrien posted here, very cool! Nice to hear from you!

I'm the same Anonymous who posted the second post on this topic and I still don't see anything wrong with his comments in that interview. I have to say you've certainly taken it in the wrong way. I WAS genuinly shocked that Amy was announced the winner. Many (if not all) the other finalists were as well. I have the utmost respect for Amy and wish her all the best. She knows that and I'm sure understands the way things are percieved and portrayed when filming a "REALITY" show. This is entertainment. Take it as you will.
I don't feel I'm a sore loser at all. I am extremely grateful at my opportunity and I think I did the best I could have. I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that I did what I wanted to do. I have worked in television for three years hosting "Home for Dinner" for JTV Channel 17 in Jackson, Michigan. It has been the greatest experience of my life. I would be crazy if I didn't jump at the chance to have a career doing what I love. If it worked out with Food Network it would have been fantastic. The outcome hasn't diminished my motivation in the slightest bit. It makes me want to continue to pursue my dream.
I do hope people enjoyed the show. I had a crazy intense experience that I'll never forget. I made some friends I'll have forever and it's something nobody can take away me. Another anonymous person said something about the way it was edited and I do have to say that was spot on. Think about it just for a minute. They filmed us on average of 12 to 15 hours daily. They edit that into roughly 40 minutes or less of air time cutting commercials. Editing is the MAGIC of television. You can look good or you can look bad. It's easy to read to far into things. Cheers, Adrien SharpAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-79341803686118818312007-07-30T09:20:00.000-04:002007-07-30T09:20:00.000-04:00A lot went on from the time of the final eliminati...A lot went on from the time of the final elimination to the actual finale. People who are judging Adrien, Rory or any of the other contestants shouldn't be so quick to judge. You are looking at them from an "edited" view. The creators, producers can make the show and it's cast look however they please. They put themselves out there to try to fight for their "dream job" and they did it all in front of America. Take the show for what it is..A SHOW! We don't know these people, we only know how they were portrayed. They all did an awesome job. Huge props to them all for reaching for the stars!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-86929619890717657992007-07-28T02:34:00.000-04:002007-07-28T02:34:00.000-04:00Adrien's saying that the other contestants were sh...Adrien's saying that the other contestants were shocked when Amy won was interesting, but not surprising. I don't know which came first...the "cold" kitchen with the big window with curtains, or the "warm" kitchen colors with the oval window. I also think I have seen an instance where the oval window had the video and one where it had a stagnant background. I'm telling you - I don't even know what she cooks, but just guessing what is going to happen in that window next is keeping me entertained, lol! :)Jessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14185263907973394801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30368617.post-66473633475847463492007-07-25T22:42:00.000-04:002007-07-25T22:42:00.000-04:00I warned you all of the orange kitchen. Robin Miller has this weird video playing in the window of her "kitchen" of a street and cars pass by every few moments. Did they really think that was going to trick me into thinking, "Here's a real soccer mom, a model of suburbia!" I've also never seen these "kids" that she always is always promising are "on their way back from school RIGHT NOW!" as she scurries off. What is up with it? You are right - it *IS* orange. You never got around to posting pics of it and you totally should. Am I the only who who think those little plastic orange cubbies are channeling the lockers at a bowling alley or ice skating rink from the 80's? On top of that, it has no visual intersest whatsoever - I found it hard to watch the whole cooking show.
