At least that's the opinion of this blogger (and peeps in the fashion industry), as Giada showed up to two events last week wearing basically the same dress in different colors.
Giada's signature cleavage seemed to be out (as in none, not out for display) at Friday's Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Sure the neckline on the black dress is a tad different, but the high cinched waist and cap sleeve getup is almost a carbon copy of the pink dress she wore to the Get Smart premiere last week.
Jezebel.com placed Giada and the Get Smart dress it its "The Bad" category (at least it wasn't the unthinkable "The Ugly.")
So why should we be caring what kind of dress Giada is wearing? Well--if you're walking the red carpet at movie premieres or awards shows, you're asking for it.

atually I love her in the black dress, yes it's a bit demure but she carries it very nicely, and given that she is now a mother and moving towards 40, a bit more demure would suit her better.
ReplyDeletethat said, I think the pink outfit is awful, looks like some sort of odd Japanese kimono-inspired creation that just does not work with her, IMHO.
I kind of like the black dress on her too. I hated the pink one! She's looking tired lately, but I am assuming that's because of her new baby. She's also looking a little botox-y.
ReplyDeleteQuick someone get Princess Giada a sunlamp. Or a tube of bronzer. Or something.
ReplyDeleteEh, she still looks damn good for just popping out a baby!
ReplyDeleteI think she looks beautiful in both photos. I prefer the black dress--it's simple, elegant and chic.
ReplyDeleteshe looks SO much better without all that crappy make up on!!! i guess their motto is
ReplyDeletewhat is worth doing is
worth
overdoing......
Isn't her husband Todd a fashion designer for Anthropologie? I'd think that would give her a step up fashion-wise.
ReplyDeleteneither one works and normally she's dressed very well. did she have her boobs done? within the last year the camera just focuses on those babies
ReplyDeleteShe looks great in both dresses. Nice to see her w/o her hooters sticking out for once. I am sick of looking at them....I do not think they are fake but she acts like she's only had then 2 weeks! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteIt's not the same dress - it's the same silhouette. The details of each dress are very different. Hey, she found something that works for her and she's going to wear it. I hate when men comment on what women wear. Unless they are in fashion, they don't have a clue what they are talking about.
ReplyDeleteGiada is so absolutely beautiful. She could wear a potato sack and get away with it! I love the photos.
