Rachael Ray rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange yesterday in celebration of debut of Scripps Networks Interactive (SNI), the newly formed company consisting of cable networks HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Fine Living Network and Great American Country Network, and the shopping services Shopzilla and uSwitch.
SNI was formed after shareholders agreed to split the original company, E. W. Scripps, into two separate publicly traded companies.
Now, E. W. Scripps just owns "10 broadcast stations, newspapers in 15 U.S. markets and other media properties."
Smart of SNI to ditch the newspapers and focus on those money-making cable properties. We're gonna be rich!

ReplyDeleteYep she is gaining weight and who ever picks her clothes for her show should be shot. They donot work with her shape at all. And the hair cut is AWFUL there is no style to it at all. I feel bad that she doesn't see it. She really needs to be grounded have a baby and loose all the money hungrey ongoing promotions and just stick with 30 minute meals.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Misty Lane Sux. Smart and successful is a one-two punch combo. Those who oppose her and spew hatred are the ones that more than likely haven't made anything out of their own lives. To see someone else obtain the kind of success Rach has, (particularly someone they don't like), intimidates them and therefore they can only react with negativity. To quote the last post, "Willing to do anything and everythig for her own advancement"....don't we all do that to advance our own careers and to succeed in life. Clearly you lack any kind of aspiration and have set zero goals for yourself in life. As far as her gaining weight, let's see some of you slobs that post such rubbish. ReplyDeleteI love how people equate not liking Rachael Ray to being jealous of her. Sorry, that's not the case. Her voice is grating and all her stupid made up words like EVOO and sammy are annoying. Rachael Ray probably is intelligent and has done very well for herself, which is great....but I'm allowed to not like her. That doesn't mean that I have failed in my own life. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Still none of the above changes the fact that Rachael is a very successful young woman and probably spends the majority of her time concerning herself with her own business instead of worrying about somebody else's.

One of our newscasters from my hometown went to NY to interview her and said she was very rude and short with all the questions, BUT when the camara came on she couldn't believe what a different person she was. This newscaster is one of your great type people and she wrote this on her blog. SOOOOOO everyone I think alot about her is true. Makes you wonder if it all did come too fast. And to put your name on olive oil and stock in a box, please. Olive oil producers have to to livid.
