- A Weston, Connecticut home with an all-white kitchen served as the set for last night's Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade Holiday Special.
- No peace and quiet this holiday season! Rachael Ray's vocal chord surgery called off.
- Nigella Lawson criticized by animal rights groups for saying she'd kill a bear and wear it.
- Alton Brown tells The Miami Herald: "I'm a very private person. I'm kept protected, and I am painfully shy in public."
- Ted Allen on his favorite Iron Chef dish.
- Alex Guarnaschelli (love her!) shows us how to make chocolate shortbread cookies.
Did anyone watch Sandra's special last night? I enjoyed it and I don't care what people say -- I love Sandy!
ReplyDeleteThe interview with Ted Allen is very good -- he seems like such a cool and nice guy.
And of course, still love Alton -- we even like the same drink 'Cuba Libre) -- be still my heart!
Have a good day everyone :)
Christine :)
In the Miami Herald. Alton mentions his husband owning a motorcycle. Huh?
ReplyDeleteAlton has a husband ? Please let that be a misprint.
ReplyDeleteOh, no. If Alton has a husband we'll have to hear how men and men being together is immoral and that guys and gals fit together "like Legos."
ReplyDeleteIt's a funny misprint because there's been this persistent question out there if Alton is gay or not, though he's obviously not (he's married with a kid -- not that being married with a kid means you're not gay, but whatever).
I'm so confused! I hope Alton is gay ... Jacob, go find out! (Pinch him so something.)
ReplyDeleteUh, I'm pretty sure I've heard Alton mention his wife and daughter. I'm sure that's a misprint.
ReplyDeleteAnd what if it's not a misprint? Maybe he left those chicks behind for a more exciting, wholesome, and moral "lifestyle." (Bring it on Carol!)
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:20, why? What difference does it make to you?
ReplyDeleteThe quote is "My husband owns an SV650 motorcycle. I miss that bike, even though it tended to overheat." Which obviously make no sense. Something got lost in the transcription.

Anon. 1:05 PMS -- You're no fun...
ReplyDeleteI'm not fun because I asked a legit question? I'm just curious why it would matter if Alton was gay or not gay. They (you?) said "I hope Alton is gay." I just want to know why.
ReplyDeleteBecause then he would be playing for our team, a sort of Band of Brothers, which needs members. There's strength in numbers. Care to join? (Any takers? Carol?)
ReplyDeleteI think we already have enough gay men prancing around on TV already .
ReplyDeleteI think we might have reached the saturation point.
The power of prayer has worked for Rachael! This has got to be a very magical Christmas for her!! Way to go Rach for taking control of your life and health. Healing yourself through lifestyle changes is a much healthier way to go!! Happy Holidays Sweet Rachael...
ReplyDeleteJacob,
ReplyDeleteFYI - there is an interview with Guy on the last page of the Jan Family Circle magazine. I live in Atlanta- not Gay. Our city/burbs is very Gay friendly- even if we are the South.
How wonderful for Rachael !! My prayers are still going out to you.
ReplyDeleteI love Alex, too! Her show is one of the highlights of my Sat.
ReplyDeleteI belive the Alton Brown quote was a misprint. Per Wikipedia: "Brown lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife DeAnna, his daughter Zoey (born in 1999)"
ReplyDeleteI know Alton is Married with Child. Even if he were gay it wouldn't matter to me. I just thought it was funny and was surprised they didn't proof read it before press.
ReplyDeletei don't care who is gay strait up or down
ReplyDeletebut i do care who is skanky vulgar and disgusting... this means YOU Paula Deen you ___________________.
