Blind Item: A Contestant on NFNS Season 5 Has Been on Food Network Before

My first blind item! How exciting.

Sources reveal that one of the contestants set to appear on Season 5 of The Next Food Network Star has previously been on Food Network.

Hmm... that could mean a lot of things. A former host? A guest on a show? A former contestant?

Is Lisa Garza coming back for attempt #2? I must know!

  4. I hate, hate, hate, hate this show.

It is Top Chef for idiots.

There has never been a contestant who would gain me as a viewer. Maybe Lisa Garza, but only if she were doing a live show and there was a possibility I could watch her have a batshit crazyass meltdown.

Jag?? Really??? What the hell was that???

    Guy Fieeeeteee.

Bob Tuschman earnestly telling contestants what makes for good food tv, followed by a commercial break with 8 Guy Fierrie promos.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate this show.

  10. Let's not forget that Guy has been all over the country and it could be one of the DDD chefs.

And here is a thought. Sometime around Thanksgiving Jake was on Food Network.

  12. If I had to take a guess, I bet it's the puffy taco lady from Throwdown. She seemed pretty ambitious, and then was really disturbed when Bobby Flay showed up and she wasn't getting her own special.

  13. Ah we get to see the Imperial Weasel Himself again. I thought Tuschwipe vowed not to show his elfin face on this show anymore.

  14. Please not Lisa Garza again - the show is bad enough...

  15. It could be anybody! Could be someone from Throwdown or Grilling w/ Bobby Flay ....

Has anyone checked out the audition tapes to see if someone looks familiar?

We'll find out soon enough, I suppose, eh?

  17. I would like to see the LAST Food Network Star. The premise of the show would be all of the current 'talent' would be showcased on a show to determine who is least capable of hosting a FoodNetwork show. Each episode would eliminate the host who is best capable of hosting a show. At the end, the host LEAST capable of hosting would be given the boot. I would record and/or watch that show religiously.

  18. I'm watching the marathon of the last season of FN Star. While my guess for this would be someone from Throwdown I have to wonder about Cory Kahaney. I felt like the judges wanted more from her than she gave and I wonder if they've give her another shot?

  19. My guess would be Tony Luke (Philly Cheesesteak guy). He's already been on both Throwdown and Dinner: Impossible.
