Rachael's an outspoken dog-lover and even released her own line of dog food this year, so I guess this magazine fits the bill.
There's been what appears to be a small controvery in the comments section. Evidently the since-pulled recipe Rachael provided had onions in it, which can be bad for dogs. From what I've read, onions are not always entirely toxic. I'd like to think the editors of a magazine called "Modern Dog" would know enough about food safety to choose whether to print the recipe or not.
[Thanks Daniel for sending!]
This cover reminds me of that "American Butch" scene from the film "Best in Show."
ReplyDeleteWhich one is the dog?
ReplyDeleteyou are, anonymous. only i doubt you're as good looking or intelligent.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, Jacob, why don't you fill us in on why a photo of Rachael Ray and her dog should provoke an obvious joke? It's Rachael and her dog. Big effing deal. Lots of people have dogs. Lots of people get their photos taken with their dogs.
ReplyDeleteI think you've been blogging too much, pal. Go watch your Dave Lieberman tapes and make one of Aunt Sandy's eggnog-vodka smoothies.
I think Rachel needs to read that article on page 127, "No More Barking!"
ReplyDeleteF Off Rachael Haters!!
ReplyDeleteYa know ... I almost hate to say it - but Rach hugs and looks more in love with Isaboo then she does with her own hubby, John... hmmm
ReplyDelete"F off Rachael Haters!!"
ReplyDeleteLOL. I like RR. It's the defenders and those fans that I can't stand. Go buy a mopine....LOL.
The one thing that's NOT annoying about her is her love for animals and that she donates the profits from her dog food to charity.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like her.
ReplyDeleteAnd that dog is SOOO cute!!!
I remember she had a veterinarian as a guest on her talkshow, who said that onions and garlic were both toxic to dogs. But, if you synthesize it some way and extract the flavor, it probably wouldn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteHer dog must be spoiled rotten. And with no kids in the household, you know there's no competition for dear Isaboo.
ReplyDeleteactually-garlic pills for dogs repel fleas...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Isaboo on the cover, but it looks like a cardboard cutout, or something, of Rachael. It is weird!
ReplyDeleteHow did she get the cover over Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Alba?????
ReplyDeleteThunder thighs and never stops talking.
ReplyDeleteIf I were Rach, I chose to spend way more time with my dog than that husband of hers.
ReplyDeleteDog is way more attractive. Probably has better breath, and is obviously loyal.

It's so unbelievable to me how people can come on this blog and spit nasty remarks about these FN stars husbands. That is someones PERSONAL life. People have no way of knowing how these people really are. It's just so unkind but I guess that's how the world is. It's all about tearing someone down.
ReplyDeletemy pit bull is wayyyyyyyyy cuter than isaboo
ReplyDeletebut at least RR has magnificent taste in dogs!!!
pit bulls RULE!
Some people are able to look at these rude comments and make positive changes in their lives that no one close to them would dare tell them.
ReplyDeleteI love how the magazine's put an Editor's note on the article ... claiming that the recipe is FOR humans and NOT pets ...
ReplyDeleteYet, on the cached version of the recipe, it tells you to check with your vet about what your pet can / should / shouldn't eat ...
BTW - Here's the cached version ...

10:57 get over it. It comes with the territory. Rach does not care what is said. She is laughing all the way to the bank. Why do these "defenders" have such thin skin. It's so weird to me.
ReplyDeleteOK so she is on the cover of this Magazine. At least use a current photo!!!!!!!! Yes she is laughing all the way to the bank.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the "Insert Joke Here" was driven by the snark from the "Rachel Ray Sucks" and "TWOP" blogs. Many of the bolggers have been upset about Rachel's dog treat recipies that include ingredients that are toxic to dogs. Well, along with her people food which could also be viewed as toxic to people. "Tacosagne and deep fried mac n cheese stuffed meatloaf anyone????????"
ReplyDeleteAnon 9:21
ReplyDeleteOh...so it's YOU who makes all the stupid "defender" comments.
