I actually did LOL after Paula answered the, "what is goulash" question with, "goulash is hamburger helper." It's hard to deny Paula's charm--even if it's completely, totally over the top--after watching this. I don't wanna have a conversation with her about the state of our economy or anything, but I'd listen to her gab while she served me food, if you know what I mean.
Dang! Pauler & Kathy Griffin together? I'd been sore to from laughing. People can hate her for "changing" or being money hungry or a foul mouth but she's doing her thing, making that cheddar and seems to be enjoying life to the hilt with Michael, her boys and little Jack. She doesn't need to apologize for one damn thing. I say go ahead Pauler!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on the View and I must say, it was truly enjoyable. I loved the expressions on Whoppi's face, priceless. Paula didn't come off as intelligent, but rather someone who was fun to watch and laugh at.

Well good for you ... But , for a lot of us the dirty schtik gets REAL old ... At some point most people realize that they're looking stupid but in Deen's case what ever brings in the bucks is AOK...

She never professed to be a smart lady, except when it comes to marketing her businesses. I enjoyed the clip, thanks, it was great because it was totally Paula. Love her or hate her she remains pretty true to herself.

ReplyDeleteShe does not have class. Look at Ina who chose to go the class route. She's the one who stayed true to herself. She has turned down numerous offers to go the "Paula Route".
ReplyDeleteWhat gets me the most is her tough times really were not all that tough. She brought on most of her own problems, they always had a place to live, they always had three meals for themselves and friends, and from her memoir's they always seemed to have money for the liquor they drank. Rock bottom to me is being homeless, they were far from that.
ReplyDeleteShe did her sons no favor in not seeking an higher education for them, can you imagine where they would be today if they had brains. Paula was very lucky, she was at the right place at the right time. She knew how to get ahead and isn't afraid to do whatever it takes to get there, including denying her own sons the freedom to do what they like to do. All I can say is they all are lucky things turned out the way they did. I would hate to see what it would be like if it didn't.
Those sons had to have a LOT of luck because I think that they're both marginally retarded.

You could easily hear the 'nice girl' part of the answer but were (or at least I was) unable to hear the 'good girl' part. I probably should be glad, huh!?

ReplyDeleteI would like to say that I have been watching Paula Deen since she started on the Food Network and let me tell you the dishes she is cooking today she never even heard of them or the ingredients a year ago. Boy what TV will do to a person. She has becom a Gourmet Hillbilly. She never knows when to stop when putting a dish together a little of this and then some of that topped with this and oh yes some mint! Trash and that son Bobby is gay too I'd bet a weeks pay he is a homo. Good sources tell me so.
ReplyDeleteThe New York Times or the Wall Street Journal did a resturant review on the Lady and Sons. it was the worst thing I ever read. But it's making millions because of Paula. It is a must read especially if you are heading South stay clear of the place.
