Guy was here yesterday at a cooking demo for the Viking Golf Classic. He was cooking with our governor and the PGA tour prez. It was kind of a celeb thingie. He looked like a total goob. I have freinds that went. They said he was only mildly entertaining and he was sweating like a pig. i think Governor Barbour was embarrassed for him.
It is not all Guy's fault people are starting to detest him.
These executives at FoodNetwork will exhaust every bit of life out of their personalities in order to promote their second rate station and Fieri is a prime example.
Real TV networks do not do this. Maybe when they realise they are not a real bonafide TV station and stop the massive oversaturation of certain stars, then perhaps we might "idolize" these stars as they would like to be idolized.
Ina Garten is a prime example. You dont see her pimping for the FN all that often, and we seem to enjoy her alot more .
No to Guy...but the rest of the package sounds great!

* 4 tickets to pre-Festival Food Network VIP Welcome Party at Food Network Studios (Thursday, October 9)
* 4 tickets to Chelsea Market After Dark, hosted by Bobby Flay (Friday, October 10) *SOLD OUT event!

* 4 tickets to Festival Grand Tasting (Sunday, October 12)
* 4 tickets to SWEET dessert party, hosted by Duff Goldman (Saturday, October 11)
I thought Jeffrey Garten was in government. Was he shilling for Lehman Bros ? Doubtful any of his money was jeopardized. Those thieves are pretty smart with their own capital.
Doe anyone recall Fieri eating a peanut butter burger on DDD's where he took a hunk outta if it, and had PB oozing off both sides of his moustache ? I can't get that image out of my mind. You would think FN might edit out such nauseous images, but instead chose to keep it in.
I guess FN have no problem trying to make Guy look like a buffoon at times.
Jeffery Garten's Wiki entry is quite impressive. Yes he did serve a number of US presidents and yes he is a professor at Yale. The guy is a titan of industry as I see it, serving on several boards and is revered by many .He contributes to the NYTimes, Business Week etc..
It must pain him to watch how the Food Network is run. Maybe why Ina does her show, and keeps to herself and the boys in East Hampton.
Someone at the FN has a crush on Guy, but they are pretty much on their own. The execs are going to crush what little soul he ever had, wringing him dry.
OMG! That would be a nightmare!
ReplyDeleteHe'd have to pay *me* to play with his tater tots.
ReplyDeleteAh, no thanks. Would rather play with myself then with him.
ReplyDeleteI have no interest in seeing Guy's tater nor his tots.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'd pay money to *NOT* do anything intimate with this monkey.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why the fools at FN think this jackass is so great. I'd be happy if I never saw his face again...ugh.

OMG! There is no way I would ever spend an "intimate evening" with Guy. Ever. Nasti!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be kinda fun.
ReplyDeleteI love Ina. She has turned down many offers. To her credit of course.
ReplyDeleteEver since I watched him rub a big messy burger all over his beard,
ReplyDeleteI can't watch him.
He shovels enough food in his face to feed a family.
He is so disgusting.
I read the words "intimate evening with Guy Fieri" and automatically crossed my legs.
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jordan.

It's only $2500 and no has bid yet.
It ends tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun to sit around and shoot the s%^& with Guy for a night, but get intimate? oy vey!
ReplyDeleteIna may need to start taking FN up on some of the offers. Her husband was an exec at Lehman Brothers and is now pounding the pavement.
ReplyDeleteSay no to Guy - he's a nasty sweaty gross tool. Ewwwwwhhhhhh!

Lucky guy.

ReplyDeleteJeffrey is mentioned in the book "Liars Poker" (3/4 through the book)which is about Investment Banking during the Junk Bond era.

ReplyDeleteI thought Guy was married???
ReplyDeleteFood Network has become the Fieri Network.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I turn it on I see his fat bloated face with food dripping off his beard.
