Ellie attended the recent awards show, held at The Carlton in NYC, sporting a hot pink top and her signature short haircut.

I need to be eating a few more "Healthy Appetite" with Ellie Krieger dishes these days. I'm still trying to work off all the food I ate last week with Ina. Plus, I'm going to Chicago this weekend, so I'm sure there will be pizza, beer, and other unhealthy temptations tempting me around every windy corner.
I'm thinking I might try Green Zebra. Giada went to it in Weekend Getaways, but I knew of it beforehand. It's light. But Minnies--with its darling mini burgers and fries--might win my affection. Can't decide! Don't have much time there, either.
i always have found ellie and her show totally annoying
ReplyDeletethe way she speaks bugs the hell outta me
happy friday!
I like Ellie. She usually gives ideas more so than following her recipes.
ReplyDelete:)
I like Ellie too! I think she has some nice recipes and I find her show nice and laid back.
ReplyDeleteI must admit. She is quite sexy. I am having impure thoughts about her.
ReplyDeleteA big yummo.
I like Ellie too and she looks great. Wow. She obviously doesn't eat RR recipes.
ReplyDeleteLoves Ellie! :)

Thanks so much for posting about Ellie. I deeply appreciate Ellie. I have made many of her recipes and love her balanced approach. In this day and age of fat free tasteless food it has been great to learn from her. I just made her peach french toast the other day - everyone loves it. As of today I have lost 20 pounds and credit her for helping me to keep motivated, and eat balanced. I have been worried that she is going off of Food Network as her show gets very little air time? Thanks again for posting!
ReplyDeleteGreen Zebra is delicious! I'm from Chicago, I just went there a couple months ago. I warn you though: it's expahhhhnsive for what you get, very very small portions. everything is in "tasting portions" - and while they're good, the hot ones were better than the cold ones my sister and I had. So...be warned! :)
ReplyDeleteChicago has such amazing restaurants though - I have my own personal list if you're interested!
Ellie looks really good here. She does make good recipes like her mac n' cheese but it's made with puureed butternut squash so it's healthier and I actully make this version over the norm when I get a taste for mac n'cheese. I do want to see her get a quickweave though or some extensions, just to see what she look like with longer hair.
ReplyDeleteP.S. To Anon @ 2:22pm, eating RR recipes doesn't make one fat so quit trying to dis RR every chance you can. RR has made numerous salads and meals using whole wheat pasta. Maybe you tend too eat too much, eh?
No idea who she is or why she is so important to get her name on the shows title.
ReplyDeleteIs her name supposed to mean something?
I think Ellie does a great show, and I also think she is smokin' hot!
ReplyDeleteHey Charles. Chill. It was just a joke. I love RR and like some of her recipes but there are some that I wouldn't touch. And you're right. I love my food but only in moderation dude.
ReplyDeleteYeah. That Hot Dog Salad Rocks!
ReplyDeleteOk anonymous sorry for the lash out. I think I am the equivalent of Elisabeth Hasselback defending the Republican party on "The View" lol....
ReplyDeleteCharles,
ReplyDeleteDo you think your girl RR makes up these slimming recipes up ? Did you ever read the 365 cookbook ?. Barfo. Maybe the poor folk in upstate NY might take a liking to some of this slop, but educated palates will probably pass. ( i bought the book at a rummage sale, $1.00)
We bash Aunt Sandy for some of her shortcuts, but RR isn't too far behind.
Funny how the same British producers work on both Healthy Appetite and Barefoot Contessa? Must be they're doing penance for the lavish, fat-riddled cooking Ms. Garten generally provides by doing Ellie's show.
