The other pics are from "Rosie's Gala," a benefit for Rosie O'Donnell's For All Kids Foundation, held last night in New York City. Looking good again!

ReplyDeleteI think she is very pretty but with all of her talk about being a size 6 ( I dont see that it matters, but she does beat that drum) my attention is drawn to her dog food commercial and to her newer 30MM where she looks to have really packed on the pounds (and GORGEOUS nontheless!)

Yeah, come on. She doesn't look good. She's gained so much weigh. Frankly, she's fat. Her weigh seemed to go up and down previously, but now it's just up -- and staying that way. When people gain a lot of weigh they tend to bury their heads in the sand and wear the same clothes. It takes a while to be honest with yourself and start in with bigger sizes. She's at that stage of needing things that fit her better. I'm often surprised by those who says she's beautiful. I certainly don't think she's ugly, but if she wasn't famous and on TV I don't think you would even notice her. She's completely average looks-wise.

Young girls in this country have enough issues with their body image without people picking on Rachel's weight. I don't think she's fat at all. She has a more realistic body size than toothpicks Giada & Aunt Sandy. At least you have to figure she actually eats what she cooks. That's more than I would say about the aformentioned toothpicks.

How exactly is Giada a toothpick? I would hope that older women with kids would look at someone like Giada as an inspiration. She's in terrific shape and one has to asssume she works hard at it.
ReplyDeleteThere's no crime in being overweight. And RR is. I hate when people use the excuse of having a "realistic" body. Those terms make sense when the clothes come off -- because, honestly, people can't look like air-brushed models -- but not in photos like these. Get your ass to the gym a few times a week and it won't look like you're smuggling lumpy cheese under your clothes. That goes for RR and everyone else.
There is no crime in being overweight, nor is there one in being thin. Some people tend more toward the naturally thin side. Add on that a semi-good diet and exercise and you can get a very thin person. People can be just as sill toward "fat" people as they can toward "skinny", my guess is Aunt Sandy doesn't think of herself as "thin" but just as..herself. :D

When you are famous, you should use your fame to do good for the public but Giada never really show interests like some of the stars of FN. I agree anon 9:10. Giada is so fake on her new show and she's mean to her friends. I've always liked her recipes but her head is getting bigger and that's not a good thing when it was literally big to begin with.

She is stiff with a robotic smile standing alone, but relaxes with a genuinely sweet grin when Rosie has her in a bear hug. Clearly she's not in her element all glammed up, even after seven years in the national spotlight. That's why I can't buy the fake-y argument the haters like to spout. Look at her face, she's thinking about those high-waisted jeans and tucked-in long-sleeved T-shirt!
