There is no Charm City Cakes in L.A.!
Just because in last week's episode of Ace of Cakes Duff and Mary Alice went to LA to "investigate the possibility" of opening a location there, doesn't mean there is one now.
Evidently, Mary Alice is already getting job applications sent to her.
But a west coast location would be nice, wouldn't it? How would that work? Duff goes there Mon-Wed, flys back to Baltimore for Thu-Sat, and then sees where he ends up on Sunday? Hmm...
No LA location yet. I think if ever one was to open in LA, you would need Goldman's signature on each piece in order for it to be successful.

ReplyDeleteI love Mary Alice; she was the first FN star I interviewed. So I don't think this is selling out. If by selling out you mean "getting paid for writing about something I love" then the answer is no. I'm not working for Food Network in any capacity. People who read the blog religiously know I met with Bob T. in October 2007. If that was to get a job, don't you think I would have mentioned something by now?

I saw Richard Simmons on Paula's Party last night. Wowza! At one point Paula was dressed up as a stick of Butter and Richard was a slice of bread.
