Ray not ready for the UK?

WorldScreen.com is reporting that Scripps Networks, the parent company of the FN, established an agreement with UKTV's Food Channel to air "a selection of series and specials" including Everyday Italian, Ciao America with Mario Batali, and series and specials from Ina's Barefoot Contessa. What?! No Rachael? this sad news does not fit into rachael's plan.

her ever-growing Web site doesn't have TV times for the UK, either! i am worried about our rachael not getting the exposure she needs.

thankfully, everyone in the world can easily log on to foodnetwork.com and purchase the $99 Rachael Ray knives. wonder if ray ray's can cut through shoe leather, pennies, and whatnot.

today has been an incredibly hot day here in DC. 101 degrees. there is nothing that great on the FN tonight and just thinking about the new summer programming is making me bored already.

Having married someone from the UK who cannot stand Rachael Ray, this post does not come as a surprise to me. Our UK brothers and sisters cannot take Rachael's loud mouth and abrasive American attitude. (It took me months to get acclimated to this, and I'm a middle school teacher.)

World domination is not in the books for Rachael yet. Even Oprah doesn't fly over there, and that is the reason I think I should retire to the UK. It's the one place Oprah and her minions (Rachael being the newest and most publicized one) don't have a foothold on.

(Great picture, by the way.)

Ouch, Amanda! I'm a middle school teacher too. But I find Rachael to be ADORABLE and not at all loud-mouthed or abrasive.

Besides, the UK has Ab Fab - and what's more loud-mouthed and abrasive than that? (Not that I'm complaining!) ;)
