I have a soft spot for people who videotape something directly off of their TV or computer screen and post it on YouTube. It truly says something about their devotion.
Just as Ina likes to keep things "not too perfect," I think she'd prefer a video like this over an over-produced iMovie spot anyday.
I don't gather that filming commercials are something Ina enjoys. I also doubt she walks around referring to herself as "the Barefoot Contessa" all day, either.
And, besides, she is not the Barefoot Contessa. Wasn't that just the name of the store... that she didn't even name in the first place?!?

I have to give the makers of this video an "A" for effort on this Barefoot Contessa homage. It's a little out there, but the true Ina fans will appreciate this.
Ina's show is taken over by her evil twin who looks breathtakingly similair to her. Her twin is a bi-polar psyco named Heraldo who will stop at nothing to claim the title THE BAREFOOT CONTESSA! For those of you who don't know Barefoot Contessa is the best show on food network its on monday through friday at 11:00 and again at 4:00 WATCH IT IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Well, it's nearly 10 p.m., I've worked all day, eaten dinner, went to the gym, came home and ate cake and and several thin mints from my freezer... and still no post up! What's my deal?
Question for you: What's up with Robin Miller's new set with the window showing cars going by? Am I to believe she truly is a busy-bee just because a Dodge Caravan travels past every few minutes? I find it odd and kind of disconcerting. I think it'd be funny if people stood outside her window with signs a la the Today show (although I guess we'd call these people "protesters").

Following up on Saturday's post with Rachael and her famous moans, I think I could make a very long and entertaining videos of just Ina's giggles (they end pretty much every sentence).
So, the Rachael Ray video I posted on Thanksgiving was pulled from YouTube. Apparently, Chicago's EIP Group thought I was using the material without permission. Granted, I just edited bits of Rachael's 2nd episode of her talkshow into a comical piece. I didn't add anything or say anything directly negative about Rachael or Oprah (nor was I intending to).
I suppose having the link to my blog at the beginning might have irritated the lawyers, but I searched for "EIP Group" and found similar posts from bloggers saying that their basic videos were pulled by EIP Group (one was just a clip of Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw singing on Oprah).
It's kind of hard to believe that Oprah would have lawyers scouring the Internet, looking to remove any and all uses of her likeness-- especially on YouTube where so many media companies are finally realizing the benefits.
It's not like I made the "Oprah for President" Web site (like one guy really did) and started making t-shirts, buttons, bags, etc. with her face on them. Hmm...
I wonder if I had left Oprah out, would my video would still be available? The Faith Hill/Tim McGraw blogger claims there are "no" videos of Oprah on YouTube, or if there are they get pulled very quickly.
I have been able to find some videos from the Oprah show, but they usually don't reference Oprah in the video title or the description (for example, yesterday I watched the crazy wacko Anne Heche and her interview with Ellen on Oprah but searching for "anneheche").
I'm glad all of the crazy things that have been happening on The View seem to show up on YouTube since I can't--in good conscience--actually watch or record that show. Don't take them away!
And I had some big plans for future videos! We'll see what happens...
