Julia Child(ren of the Corn)

Yes, that really is the mother of food televsion, Julia Child, carved into a maze of corn. Being from the midwest, seeing cornfields like that just give me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

The folks at Warner Farms in Sunderland, Mass., carve a maze into their cornfield each year. This year, Julia was the honoree. Wow! Now I know how crop circles are formed.

I realize Child doesn't appear on the Food Network, but I still have fond, PBS memories of her whizzing away in the television kitchen. She could take Sandra Lee any day.
