One Month Left to Be the Next FN Star

Well, this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I never made it to a computer! Woops. Let's get to it...

Just wanted to let you all know you have just one month left to submit your video to be the next Food Network "star." With only four short weeks left, I thought I'd highlight some of the rules in the official application that you may have overlooked.

"21. Each applicant acknowledges, understands and agrees that he or she, if chosen as The Next Food Network Star and/or as one of the Finalists may be audio and/or video taped twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week while participating in the Program whether or not he or she is then aware that he or she is being videotaped or recorded (collectively, "Recordings") and that such Recordings may be disseminated on television and/or all media now known or hereafter devised, in any and all manner throughout the Universe in perpetuity."

Yes, your recordings may be disseminated into types of media in the future that don't even exist yet! Sounds very Back to the Future II, 2015, "of course that was before we invented dust-repellant paper" to me.

26. All applicants who are selected as Finalists will be required to meet all physical and psychological requirements, as determined by Food Network.

Hmm... both phsyical and psychological!?! Dang, this is gonna be tough!

22. Applicants acknowledge, understand, and agree that the Released Parties' use or revelation of Personal Information and Recordings may be embarrassing, unfavorable, humiliating, and/or derogatory and/or may portray him or her in a false light.

Awesome. Sign me up!

What's the point? They're just going to stick your show on a timeslot that nobody knows about, and not promote it in any way. Look at poor Guy. I'll be nobody watches his show, and he was a cool guy, and very entertaining.
