Welcome Food Network Canada!

Just wanted to give a quick hello to all the Canadian visitors who came my way thanks to the post on Food Network Canada's official blog, Food For Thought.

You may remember my original post about Food Network Canada. If not, let me remind you that there are several shows only available in our neighbor to the north that I wish we had.

Food For Thought, run by Catherine Jheon, is very comprehensive and features behind the scenes photos, interviews, food trends and more. Whatever hidden, hard to find blog Food Network USA has doesn't even compare:-)

Thanks a lot foodtv.ca!

Oh my God that is funny. My mom and I love to watch and eat Ina's food but we always have to call all the ingredients "good" as we are making the dish otherwise its just not as satisfying!

Wait...foodnetwork (USA) has a blog? Without your link, I wouldn't have known. Why, cause their home page sucks! Okay, it's not THAT bad. But I think they need to look to our cousins to the north and get some ideas from their website. Did you see that you're on the "blogs we're reading" list on the foodnetwork (usa) site?

News Release

February 2007

Food & Drink Fest 2007…the Festival with Taste!
is pleased to donate a portion of the proceeds to
Breakfast for Learning.
Beau Monde Productions (BMP) is excited to announce the encore presentation of Food & Drink Fest… the Festival with Taste! - March 30 to April 1, 2007 at the Hamilton Convention Centre. After receiving many rave reviews from exhibitors, dignitaries, local media and the public following last March’s inaugural show, BMP is strongly committed to ensuring that Food & Drink Fest continues to grow and evolve and be one of the regions most anticipated annual events.

For next March's show BMP is proud to announce that they will be donating $1.00 from each admission ticket sold to “Breakfast for Learning” (BFL), Canada’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to funding community based student nutrition programs. BFL works to ensure that every child in Canada attends school well nourished and ready to learn by providing funds, nutrition education resources and support to student nutrition programs across the country.

Jay Higgins, President of BMP, states “It’s a natural fit to use “Food & Drink Fest” as a platform to help raise awareness of the importance of food, nutrition and what makes a great community on many different levels. Breakfast for Learning doesn't just feed kids - it nourishes communities! Through our advertising and promotional campaign and by media coverage, we hope to help raise more awareness of this great charity and increase their visibility to promote community and corporate support. Supporting local events and giving people the tools and opportunity to create an even better neighbourhood for themselves and their children is part of the solution and helps create the kind of community we can all be proud to live in and proud to raise our children in. “

Come and experience an exciting variety of wines, specialty beers, and culinary sensations created by some of the Hamilton, Halton & Niagara Regions' most popular restaurants, breweries, & wineries. Enjoy terrific live entertainment, fun informative cooking demonstrations all in one great location, and all for a great cause!

Please visit www.FoodandDrinkFest.com for full details and we hope to see you at Food & Drink Fest 2007 so you can experience for yourself why Food & Drink Fest is in fact “The Festival with Taste!”

Cheers,
Beau Monde Productions
