Giada to Host BubbleQ
Well, it may be nine months away, but I'm very excited to report that Giada De Laurentiis will be hosting the 2008 Moët & Chandon BubbleQ event at the 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Fest, Feb. 21-24, 2008 in Miami.
As the first female host of BubbleQ, Giada will lead a pack of grilling gurus including Rick Bayless, Curtis Stone, Patrick Neely, Chris Lilly, Kenny Callaghan, Terry Zarikian, Cat Cora, Zac Pelaccio, Aaron Sanchez, Katie Lee Joel, Tyler Florence, Art Smith and Christian Thompson as they show off their best barbeque dishes untraditionally paired with the finest champagne.
I didn't make it to last year's BubbleQ, hosted by Al Roker, but I will definitely try to attend Giada's. It's considered one of the most sought-after tickets at the festival, so get to ordering (once they become available)!
Last year's fest was seriously one of the best times of my life. Click on the "south beach" label below to learn more about my adventures there.
Happy Monday!

Wow, Katie Lee Joel continues to exist despite being canned from Top Chef. Who knew?
back that pic up, boy. giada's a little scary that close. ;)
jordan: I know. shocking! Are you continuing to exist after your big visit to Ben's, btw? :-)
amanda: isn't that a song: "you're a big, fine Giada. Won't 'cha back that pic up"???
I'm still alive. I apparently didn't miss much in not visiting Ben's for the first six years I lived here.
But the real news: this morning's "Reliable Source" Column in the post says that Giada was filming at the DuPont Farmer's market this weekend.
And she didn't even call. . .
I know a few people who wish they were 'Bubbles.' As for myself, that chick scares the heck out of me with her permanent smile! :-)
