Tyler Florence on Shaq's Big Challenge

Tonight at 9pm/8c on ABC is Shaq's Big Challenge. FN-star Tyler Florence is a featured "expert" and will teach kids about healthy eating.

Tyler Florence

Celebrity chef Tyler Florence is the host of three shows on the Food Network: How to Boil Water (for novices), Food 911 (the popular "recipe rescue" show), and the primetime Tyler's Ultimate. He's also the author of the cookbook Tyler's Ultimate, EatThis Book: Cooking with Global Fresh Flavors and Tyler Florence's Real Kitchen. His talent, charm, and good looks – he's been named the "Sexiest Chef Alive" by People magazine – made him a natural to help Shaq win over the school cafeteria staff on the TV show. Find out more about Tyler Florence at his Web site, TylerFlorence.com.

In the show, Shaq meets with six middle-school children who are struggling with weight problems and are at risk of, or are already suffering from, obesity.

As a chef who hails from the South, Tyler must struggle with keeping his food both healthy and flavorful (read: fattening). Tyler's weight has gone up and down throughout his television career, so he seems like just the man to teach the kids.

I might not catch this show tonight, but let me know how it is. I think it's great Shaq's promoting fitness and health to kids. Let's just hope it's a little bit more successful than his rap career.

I wish I did. I was watching how Shaq told one of the participants to slap some bullies that told him he wouldn't finish the program after he completed it on The Soup. Too funny.
