Miami Better Get Mystic Tan

Not much to report today other than the Food Network South Beach Wind and Food Festival Web site has a snazzy new design and some preliminary information on programming. Tickets don't go on sale until October, but it doesn't hurt to pre-plan a little Feb. trip to the beach, does it?

Rachael will once again be hosting the Amstel Light Burger Bash which was a big success at this year's festival.

Will all this working and running from gig to gig no wonder Rachael relies on Mystic Tan (or something like it). Be prepared for a new sponsorship opportunity, Rach!

RR has gotten so garish looking lately. Don't get me wrong - I do like Rach, but the dark goth hair, umpa-lumpa skin, and the trying to hard to be trendy clothes has got to go. she seriously needs to fire her stylist. Please RR get help!!

Something just went wrong with Rachael, right around the time she hooked up with Oprah. I look back at her older shows, see how cute she once was, remember what a crush I used to have on her, and just wonder what happened? Plastic surgery? A bad eyebrow pluck? It just seems like she's gotten so LOUD...in both voice (she's always shouting now), personality and looks. Somebody needs to turn the volume down again.

I wonder if she is taking style advice from her fashionista friend, Greta? Greta sometimes appears on the RR Show and she is a horrible dresser and tries to get Rachey-poo to look like her. Greta is also pretty damn loud....maybe that's influencing Rachel.

Her hands look so unnatural, like they've been photoshopped. Did anyone see that episode of the King of Queens where Deacon & Kelly have a portrait painted of Doug and Carrie? That's what her arms look like.

Other than that, I think she's quite pretty.

It looks like she has man-hands in that pic... creepy!

Come on...enough about her hands. Think how unsanitary all her food preparations would be if she had some fake nails to make her hands look better. You can't do much about the hands you were given and she sure uses her hands a lot in her job, so whatcha gonna do?

Okay you know who has real man hands? Giada. For a little teeny tiny thing, her hands are huge. Ever see her rip the top off a parsley bunch? I can totally see her ripping someone's head off with those things.

LOL..Giada's hands are still smaller than her head! It looks unnatural!

I can't imagine RR having her nails done, they wouldn't make her hands look any more feminine, instead, it would just draw more attention to them.

BTW, on TNFNS Week 6, you could see where Amy's brown polish had peeled...I noticed this when she was preparing food. YUM-O!

anon: haha... oompa-loompa indeed.

curmudge: the money was too tempting.

anon: haven't seen this greta. i'll be on the lookout.

anon: king of queens isn't on my tivo. sorry.

man hands... yes they do look that way

anon: i'd love a little giada ripping head off cartoon.

sassy: yeah, didn't notice. so much more astute.

rd: it's worth it. even if you just buy the $200 tasting village you get to see at least a few food network stars.
