I kid, I kid about the title.

I hope he is in Las Vegas, though, if he wants to audition for Bravo's "Top Chef"-- the Next Food Network Star's arch nemesis.

Hmmm...I really am just learning to cook, so no "Top Chef" for me! On a different note entirely (sorry I always go on "off-topic" tangents!)....

Paula Deen was on Larry King Live tonight (along with Bobby and Jamie) to talk about her book "It Ain't All About The Cookin!" She went into detail about her struggles with the loss of her father, her anxiety attacks, her agoraphobia, starting "The Bag Lady" at 42, the success of her restaurants, how she met her husband, and how she came to be on The Food Network. I'm sure most of you have heard it all before, but it was really fascinating stuff!

One of the more interesting things was Larry King himself. I hate to say it - but I think he is finally getting too old for his job. He just seemed kind of "rude" to Paula! He was very off putting, was the first person I ever saw who didn't get her charm, kept interrupting her, and didn't seem to do his research on her background. Maybe its time for Larry to quit while he's ahead? Just a thought! Go Paula!

Yeah. Adrien can talk his way through cooking again and get booted off by that one judge who was a self-taught chef. (And some cranks complain about Rachael Ray!)
I saw part of Paula Deen's appearance w/her sons on "Larry King Live" and I was impressed. She really is the same on or off her regular shows.

I don't get her charm either.

Anony, you've never been to the South, I see. The accent is real.
The thing I didn't appreciate about King's treatment of Paula was his habit of calling it "The Food Channel," instead of "Food Network."
