Martha's Legal Trubs Could Equal Big Bucks for Rach
Well, Martha Stewart is in trouble again.
I don't think she'll be heading back to prison, but apparently someone in prison isn't too happy with the domestic diva and is suing her for $3.5 million in damages... all of which will be donated to Rachael Ray!!!
Jonathan Lee Riches, a South Carolina prisoner, claims Martha Stewart violated his civil rights after he tried to buy Martha's Westport home. The damages he is seeking will all be donated to Rachael Ray, the report claims.
Among many wrongdoings Mr. Riches alleges, he claims that he also contracted poison ivy, fell into a "groundhog hole" and, this is good, got pricked by pricker bushes while touring the estate!
I love it!
Okay, I can accept the pricker bushes and the groundhog holes. I may even forgive the turkeys attacking the poor man. But I simply cannot accept hiring Karl Rove in any capacity, Martha;-)
The same prisoner has also sued (unsuccessfully) President Bush, golfer Tiger Woods, baseball slugger Barry Bonds and disgraced pro football player Michael Vick.
You gotta give Rachael Ray some credit, here. Evidently the lawsuit-happy prisoner likes her enough to want to give her his potential $3.5 million. I just hope he doesn't sue her to get it all back.

[Riches] claims the real estate listing for the property falsely claimed it was painted with Dutch Boy paint [and that] he saw Stewart's turkeys playing football with Vick's jerseys and that the birds attacked him. And, according to the lawsuit, recently resigned Bush political strategist Karl Rove has found a new gig: working on Stewart's estate as her gardener.

That is the type of person that
think Rachael Ray is a good thing.
Not too bright are they?
The "not too bright" part is that he probably went off his lithium before he attempted to file suit.
Jonathan Lee Riches has also sued O.J. Simpson and Carrie Underwood.

I liked the detail, "In a two-page, handwritten lawsuit...." Apparently, he couldn't get a lawyer to collude with him in this. Maybe there is some hope for the legal profession after all.
