Bobby Blogs!

Did you know you can get an autographed photo of Bobby Flay just by sending him an email?

On his FAQ page it says:

Email sb@bobbyflay.com your name, address and name you would like inscribed on the photo and she [Bobby's assistant Stephanie] will send you one noramlly within in 2 weeks.

That's mighty generous of the Flayster. It also says you can email Stephanie for any recipe available at one of the many restaurants Bobby owns.

Bobby Flay's personal Web site has been updated recently with a fresh, new blog!
Although he's evidently leaving out all of the juicy stuff.

Whoa... "the haters?" Nobody be hatin', Bobby F! Chill out:-)

It's a colorful site he's got going there, but the blog leaves a lot to be desired. There's a lot of empty space in-between his "good experiences with food/no gossip" paragraphs and the small window of text is... a little small. I guess you gotta fit that huge photo of Bobby on the other half of the screen, though, doncha!

I'm so excited for this week to be over! Looks like I'll be in NYC for at least part of the weekend. Should be much colder than the last time (only a few weeks ago). Yuck. Someone whip me up a Hot Toddy.

Or tell me what one is.

;-) Have a good one.

I hope his assistant Stephanie isn't also his wife Stephanie. From Law & Order to mailing autographed photos of her husband? No wonder she's so prickly with him when she appears on his show.

I'm sure Aunt Sandy can tell you what a hot toddy is. She's probably already had three of 'em today!

hot toddy (at least, the way my dad makes them)

add one shot of bourbon to a mug of near-boiling hot water. add 2 tblsp honey and a cinnamon stick. squeeze a big lemon wedge into cup. drink.

they are fantastic for sweating out a headcold. or, just getting you slightly schnackered enough to get to sleep.

pat: i know, thought that was weird having as assitant by the same name.

and i'm sure Auntie Sandy packed Brycer's backback with a thermos full of the HT:-)

MA: Thanks! I'm not a bourbon lover, but that does sound good.

Perhaps you should have a lil' cocktail corner on your show! Just a little moment (like Aunt Sandy) where you show how to make a favorite drink:-)

Hmm...I dunno. I sent dear Stephanie an email a while back and never got a response. Guess it doesn't hurt to try, Grandma is in love with Bobby and wouldn't know what a blog was...

Whatever...Bobby Flay is an egotistical jerk.

Did you catch the new Food Network daytime commercial during the Next Iron Chef finale...."Down Home with the Neeleys", "Rescue Chef", & "Jamie at Home". They also mentioned new episodes for Ingrid, Robin, Ellie, Paula, Giada, Tyler, Ina, & Rachael. Are you as excited as I am!?!?

I like Bobby but why would would I do with an autographed picture? I don't ubderstand the obsession with autographs and signed things.

Also, I'd rather look at Stephanie.

Thanks for the heads up about Bobby's blog, except that you don't seem to have linked to it. Or have I missed it somehow? BTW, I still marvel at how much some people dislike him. Especially people who can't spell, write grammatically, or express themselves without profanity.

I just received my pictures (2). Took 10 days. Hardly personal, not the greatest picture perhaps, but the names I requested are written on the inside of the envelope like that's what he was handed to sign. Kinda nice actually. No auto-sign apparently.

Bobby's hardly a huge star so big he can't be bothered to sign a mere autograph to an old lady or 2 who likes him, but I bet he could come up with something better to do with his time. Good on him for taking the time - or at least making it appear that he did. Mom will be tickled...

Thanks, Bobby.
