RIP Everyday Italian?

FN Dish's Adam Roberts caught up with Giada De Laurentiis over the weekend where she revealed that production on Everyday Italian has ended.

Don't fret, GDL-lovers. She's working on a new cooking show.
I'm going to start a new show. We actually finished Everyday Italian and we're going to start a new cooking show for me... in June. [...] It's still going to be very similar to Everyday Italian, just a little more modern, a little more me now that I have a little one coming. I think it's a time for a little bit of a life change."

I'm excited that Giada's getting to branch out a bit. I've read in several interviews that her love of food extends into many other varieties of cuisine other than Italian, so I'm glad she'll be able to show that.

As it is, Everyday Italian as of late has pretty much branched away from strictly Italian recipes. G will make a cookie or salad or roast and throw some prosciutto or amaretti cookies on it and make it "Italian."

So what kind of food do you think Giada should cook?

Can she do some sort of show that shows us how she somehow eats all this food yet manages to remain so slender? That would be awesome.

Aww, I'll miss Everyday Italian! At least, Giada's still going to be doing a show on FN! I wonder if they mean it'll premiere in June or they'll start shootin her new show in June?

What should GDL cook?

Anything she wants. I'll still watch.

Okay... Adam needs to chillax -- I realize he was excited about interviewing Giada, but he pulled the mic away from her face before she finished answering almost every question. Also, for someone who is hyped on FN, I was a little struck that he was not aware of who Tood, GDL's hubby, was and had to ask his name.

Aw, I'm sooo sad! I absloutely LOVE Everyday Italian! My mother and I watch the FN everyday and we stop everything when we hear the intro music! We love Giada and the show because we also LOVE Italian food. (I'm excited too because I'm going to Italy this summer and get to try authentic Italian!)

I am excited for her to be trying something new. I will likely watch that religiously as well.

Congrats on your new baby Giada!!! She's beautiful! =D

Well, I loved watching Everyday Italian. Giada is wonderful. However, I think it might be a mistake to drop Everyday Italian completely. It won Emmys.

The show was very good, but I think she is very talented so in any show she appear, the show is going to be a success.

Many people enjoy Italian food and Italian restaurants have sprung up across the country. But if you're looking for healthy Italian cuisine, you may want to think twice about feeding. Although many people consider Italian food to be healthy, the food at your favorite restaurant can not.
