Cooking for Real Renewed

Sunny Anderson's Cooking For Real will be coming back to Food Network!

"A couple of weeks ago I found out I get to continue taping Cooking for Real for Food Network! I can't believe it, I am so HAPPY! This is a result of early support and viewership, I can't tell you how thankful I am," writes Sunny on her official blog.

In case you didn't know, newbies like Sunny typically get six episodes to start. Once those air, they have to make a big enough impression on Food Network execs (and other offical decision makers) to order more episodes.

If the six intial episodes never materialize into anything, the lonely six tend to float around in reruns, slowly decreasing in frequency, until we viewers forget about their existence. Amy Finley, who? Was she the blonde one?

Exactly.

Anyhow, congrats to Sunny!

Bleah. If I want to watch a seventh-rate Rachel Ray impersonator cook seventh-rate crap, I'll... watch Rachel Ray, I guess.

You Sunny detractors are all wrong. Trust me, I am right just about all the time and this woman has the goods.

I hope she take precious time away from the growing annoyances we know as Guy Fee'Idiot, Butterball Deen and growing crowd fav, Rachel Ray.

Show em how it is done Sunny.

After the first episode I wasn't sold on her completely but then I watched a couple more and I really like her. It took her a couple tries to get into her swing I think but as of now I see her as someone people can relate to without being so ridiculously over the top or trying as hard as some other FN personalities.

Her recipes are not very original...just dishes I could find in any basic cookbook. Additionally, Sunny needs to tone down (and stop repeating) her anecdotes.

Like Noshin in New Orleans? Puleez.

Another snoozefest.

Anyone is better than Mrs. Neely

Sunny Anderson and Gina Neely are like night and day.

Since the very first episode of Down Home with the Neely's, Gina saw fit to take over everything and has tried to make the show Gina -centric. Pat, who seems like a nice guy, is turning into Capt Pussywhipped and I am sure this cannot be good in the long run.

I can't bear to watch the show .Only the introduction, so I can find out what the church supper crowd are serving in Tennessee that season.

Sunny, in her brief tenure has made a few gaffs, used a few cliches too often, and God forbid, used Angostura bitters instead of Peychaud bitters in her Sazerac cocktail.

It can only get better and I predict it will become a staple of the Scripps Network soon. I am seldom wrong when I make these claims as I am much smarter than most FN viewers.

Big things to come from Sunny Anderson. Mark my words.

Sunny is a lovely woman, just lovely, but does everything have to be "AMAZING"?? I swear she says that word like at least 10 times each episode. Shame on the producers for not picking up on it and editing that. You Gina haters are just mad cuz she too black for you and you don't know how to handle it. I do think Sunny is one of the better newbies at FN but so far her recipes are nothing I want to go right out and make. Maybe she'll kick it up a notch in her new season. I'll be watching. And Alec Smart what pedestal are you sitting on? I took your comment, "smarter than most FN viewers" as an insult and do not appreciate it. Most of your comments relate to you having a job and not sitting on your ass and with that last comment you are truly over the top and not in a good way. So don't be such a douchebag it's a site for FN fans for Christ's sake.
