New Ina Garten Equals Happy Food Network Addict

Food Network's "In the Kitchen" daypart is getting a touch-up, if you hadn't noticed already. And I could not be more excited about what appears to be a new Ina Garten show!!!

"The existing shows are all being tweaked," writes Broadcasting & Cable. "Rachael Ray got a new set on 30 Minute Meals, Sandra Lee is now cooking with home viewers on her Semi-Homemade, Paula Deen will cook more with her sons and other family members instead of alone on Paula's Best Dishes..."

And in the best news ever, "Ina Garten will help viewers throw cocktail parties, rather than just cook for her own friends and family, on Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics."

Just who are these viewers who get to have Ina's help?!? There's no info on the "Be on Food Network" page, sadly. (You can get info on being one of Sandra's on-air "semi-homemakers" though, provided you live in the New York tri-state area.)

I can't wait!

I enjoy Ina. Her food is elegant, yet very approachable. And for me, a chef, I can actually learn from her, since she does not dumb down her recipes. The Food Diva is a big fan of The Barefoot Contessa.

Why, that's fabulous! Will she be bring her "main gays"? If so, she can stop by my place with that gray-haired fox who bought the charcoal in Ina's barbecue episode.

The "gray-haired fox" is named TR, and yes I'm also hoping he'll be on the show more often!

I *love* the idea for the new show. Ina is one of the few hosts who offers some excellent hints once in awhile. But lately, it takes a magnifying glass to find her show on the daytime lineup for FN. Instead, we get episode after episode of "Diners" -- to twist an Ina phrase, "How bad can that be?" Pretty dang bad.

Nice to see Ina G. will be staying on the Food Network. Watching her show is one of my guilty pleasures.

This is wonderful but when will it air? They've taken her off on Saturday's line-up! As If! My partner and I made the rounds' in The Hamptons and hit the hot spots on Ina's show and met Michael @ his flower shop and omg he's sweet as pie! And we met T.R. @ Chelsea Piers and he was so nice and good looking and that's what I love about Ina she doesn't come across snooty she is so down to earth and she has a sense of humor and loves life and the people on her show are equally pleasant. Love her and love this blog site it's fabulous!

What do you mean, "Paula Deen will cook more with her sons and other family members..."? Her husband and sons are in every other episode already!
