Rosie looked great on the show, but the whole format for "Paula's Party" is like morning TV on steroids. Chat quickly and then bam through a recipe. I really long for the warm Paula that was evident a couple years ago, before she amped up the Southern drawl and faux bawdy personality.
Hadn't watched PP in a while, I enjoyed this episode, especially seeing Pat Neely. oooh lala LOL
Yucky yucky poo!
I can't stomach Paula anymore, and I used to love her. Rosie was the only reason I watched this episode. I'm so sick of watching Paula dumb her self down (even more), and act like a dirty old lady every chance she gets with every male she encounters. I too miss the warm, motherly, and sincere Paula, pre-fame.
I too am pretty sick of seeing Paula's dirty old woman act, and overuse of the word y'all (and I'm southern so trust me). It is just so icky and gross. Like seeing your grandma hit on young men. I guarantee if that was an older man up there rubbing and kissing on young women, no one would put up with it. Anywho, I couldn't even sit through this episode with her and Rosie, it was just too much to take. Food Network please bring the old Paula back...ugh.
I wonder how Capt Highliner Groover feels when his wife lusts after any man ?
I think Rosie and Ellen's husband would make a nice couple, don't ya think ?
I'm scared for Paula. I think she's "lost it".
I was at a recent taping of this in NYC and the show itself, to be quite frank, is awful. She didn't even cook! The food was prepared and pre-cooked pretty much by assistants and while
Paula was adorable, (& gave me a hug!), the show doesn't have the feel it did when it first aired. And now that I see she has a tv show in the works, the new direction of "PP" is just a launchpad for that show. There's no audience participation at all it's just fluff with the guests. Not to mention any real cooking going on. No samples for the audience, (@ my taping anyway). It was a little disappointing but I really enjoyed seeing Paula. I see no change in her persona as she chatted when she could with the audience and was "as seen on tv".
Btw, in reference to the posts about her dirty old woman act, she was like that with the 2 male guests she had on the show. I don't want to give anything away as the show won't be seen til later in the year but the one guest, a newbie to FN, really couldn't even demonstrate his recipe because she kept referring to his "balls". Not his mansack but it was part of his outfit. She must have referred to his "balls" like 10 times during his segment. It was funny the 1st couple times but just annoying after the umpteenth time. I felt bad for the guy.
I HATE PAULA DEENS PLASTIV SURGERY LOOK AND PAULA'S PARTY IS SO SO SO STUPID AND ANNOYING!!!!!
Help! I've been to the taping of Paula's Party in NYC in April, we had a great time! I was wondering if someone would be willing to tape the 2 shows we recorded. I live in Canada and Paula's Party is not available here. I would be willing to pay for the tape and shipping...please let me know if we can work something out.
Thanks!
