More on GDL's New Show: Giada At Home

Giada De Laurentiis is back to work in New York on her other TV gig—guest-hosting the fourth hour of TODAY on NBC. But she'll be back in L.A. soon to begin taping her new Food Network show, Giada At Home. Food Network Addict was the first to report on the new show's name, with no public announcement having been made since.

MSNBC has the scoop:
"The new program, which starts airing in October, will offer a glimpse into De Laurentiis' personal life, and will have a broader lifestyle focus than Everyday Italian, which has wrapped. Episodes will also feature a certain tiny assistant from time to time."

How cute. A little mozzarella taster!

Giada also reveals that she hopes daughter Jade will share her passion for cooking, and if not "it would break [her] heart." Awwwww.

The new baby has Giada thinking green:
"Having a child makes you wonder what you're leaving behind for them," she says. "When you don't have kids, you live for yourself, saying, 'That's their problem, not mine.' When you have a kid, it becomes your problem."

I don't want a glimpse into Giada's personal life, I want to learn how to cook. Hope they keep EI on because I won't be watching this new show.

Oh and Giada, people without kids also recycle.

If that's what the show is about, then it doesn't belong on the FOOD Network. We'll just have to see when it airs, but I have no interest in her personal anything.

maria: check my old post about it. EI wrapped back in Jan. Giada at Home is her new show.

******
It most certainly does belong.

FOOD doesn't just mean COOKING, as I've written about many times before. I think people will enjoy the new focus.

Gee, no need for castigating! Lots of people simply want to see good cooking programs on the Food Network.

"Giada at home!!!!" , hahahahaha, will she be using her OWN home or will she be lurking someone else well appointed San Fernando valley ranch style house.

If she wants to do a lifestyle show take it style channel of fine living I dont want to see her schlepping around on the beach pretending she's athletic.

What a food Posuer!

Giada has gorgeous, glorious breasts. I'd like to squeeze them.
