Let Food Network Know Your Thoughts

Someone posted in the comments of my Secrets of a Restaurant Chef post about wanting to contact Food Network to let them know how much they enjoyed the show.

And you can do that.

Sadly, Mary Alice isn't waiting to take your call...

... but you can use the Food Network Show Questions and Comments form.

You can typically find a link to this form on every show's minisite... such as Anne Burrell's.

So let them know your thoughts, keeping in mind that comments like "I don't like the way her arms move" probably aren't going to be given much consideration.

For the last couple years, I haven't liked the direction of the FN in general. I'm not a fan of their entertainment offerings like the Cakes show, the hundred different cook-off permutations ("Tuna Helper Throwdown"), the myriad "so-&-so's travels" programmes, or that annoying "Unwrapped" show. Call me a stick-in-the-mud, but I like cooking shows, pure and simple. As much as I'd love to live near Ina Garten and date Bobby Deen, my serious love affair with FN died when Sara Moulton's "Cooking Live" disappeared from the evening schedule.

There are definitely some shows I can just leave on and get entranced by - the "Easy Entertainings", the "Barefoot Contessas", the "Paula's Home Cookings", of course the "Ace of Cakeses". And I agee: there are also too many stupid shows on the air - anything where disembodied narrators are traveling the country talking about restaurants and foods. And I have to say, even though people have said he's really "GENUINE" and whatever, Bobby Flay's incessant need to trick the chefs of America into competing with him was stupid from the first episode. But I actually think FN jumped the shark with the Next Iron Chef show. Alton too. Whatever I saw of his melodramatic persona on that show was cringeworthy. You'd have to pay me to watch that again.

Is it me or is Bobby Flay turning into a real jerkoff ? When did he become Mr Noble ?

This season on TNFNS, he comes across like he is Pierre Escoffier with a bit of Prince Charles thrown in for the McGillicuddy value.

Hey Bobby, I can remember some real stinkers you and Jack McDavid took part in and your "love-ins" with Jackie Malouf weren't exactly Emmy quality, so stop thinking your farts don't stink pal
and cut some slack to these newbies or someone is going to lay a throwdown on you.

First, I would like to say that I have always been a fan of Paula Deen. But I have to comment on the way she slammed Lisa (TNFNS) on her Mac and Cheese. OK, she didn't care for it, one comment was enough but did she have to be so rude making the camera come back to her for a second time and squealing "I HATED IT" . Lisa actually said that Paula was one of her favoriates and she had always admired her. Lisa is a Lady and Paula used to be.

I am finding it harder and harder to watch some of the NF stars who are not professionally trained and have not gone through half of the challenges and training these contestants have be so critical.

Careful your insecurity is showing and it is disgusting.
