The Next Food Network Star, Week 7

Whoa... what an episode!

Actually, I probably didn't watch it yet (I'm writing this post in advance). I'm probably floating along on the cruise ship back from Mexico, hopefully not puking over the edge.

How were the Throwdowns?!? Did Adam's cassoulet suck? Head on over to the Food Network's site for the official exit interview and Adam Roberts' more fun interview with this week's eliminated contestant, Bob Tuschman's and Susie Fogelson's blogs & vlogs, and more. I'll be back tomorrow!

again, what total bs. they kicked off another great person that should have made it to the final three. no wonder lisa is so pissed off, i would be too. i bet you anything that adam and lisa go to the final 2 and adam wins. he is the suckiest cook i have ever seen but he has gotten to the final 3. all im seeing is 3 judges that have wayyyy too much crack.

I think Adam will win just because of his "personality", it makes you wonder though if the Food Network is NOT concerned whether these people know how to cook or not, it makes the other chefs of the channel look like fools because now we don't know whether THEY know how to cook too! MADNESS.

Adam rocks. when he has his own show and mucho time and can use resources, the people will enjoy him and his point of view. He is a pleasure to listen to and he is easy on the eyes.

Aaron I like. Lisa I LOVE. But Adam? Good grief, if Adam wins I will never watch Food Network again!!!!!!

I have been pulling for Lisa all along, and Aaron has really grown on me... but as for the other two, it was just a toss up to me, they both needed to go. I'm sorry, I just couldn't watch a full 30 minute episode with Kelsey. Adam I would like to watch as a stand-up, but I don't think I would learn much from him. (Totally like-able guy though!)

This week was another example of the judges looking for personality over skill - though, I think Kelsey and Adam are pretty evenly matched in their ditziness.

My biggest problem in booting Kelsey over Adam is that Adam doesn't even have a good grasp of his culinary point of view. When he was asked by Susie, he couldn't give a succinct response. Kelsey stuck with her "classic food with a twist" until this week and that really sunk her with the judges. On a side note, I thought it was really funny that Paula told Kelsey that BOTH of her dishes were too small - you don't impress Paula with small and pretty; you gotta go big and hearty!

I've still got Lisa at the top of my list. She's just got to fine tune her on-camera personality and find that happy medium between last week's shut-down and this week's "unwelcoming" intensity.

At 7/14/2008 1:02 AM , Blogger Unknown said...

I thought Kelsey took her loss with grace and I have no doubt she will land her own show one day. While she may lack life experience, she makes up for it with her personality and teaching skills, not to mention her cooking ability. Lisa needs to drink a Martini before she steps in the kitchen or take a Valium (or maybe both.) She is SO intense. Adam might survive in next week's episode because from the previews, it looks like there will be more of a performing element in the competition, even though his food is often not the best. How about Susie's obnoxious comment (surprise) that Adam is "learning on our dime?" Please, the show does nothing but promote the Food Network itself. I just don't see how Adam can become the next FNS if a lot of his food hasn't been that good for a majority of the show. Aaron was the clear winner this week. I think he is much more comfortable in front of the camera now than he was at the beginning and he was quite charming during the E! interview. Leave it to the judges to knock him for "dead air" and not enough cooking during his talking. He has been my favorite the whole time, so I hope he keeps his cool during next week's show.

At 7/14/2008 1:14 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The judges really made a poor choice this week. Kelsey shouldn't have gone home! She is the only one who has both the knowledge and personality it takes to have their own show. Adam is an inconsistent spaz and Aaron can't cook and speak at the same time...and what's with using an ingredient when you don't know what it is? Kelsey's show would have at least been watchable...which is more than I can say for the remaining contestants. The rest of the season has been spoiled for me.

Way to go Tuschman ... He's been biased against Kelsey since Day One ... I knew the show was a fraud since the public doesn't get to vote and since 2 yrs ago when Guy won over Reggie (who was truly the viewers' choice) ...

I guess this means that Adam's gonna be the winner ... and I'll watch even LESS of the stupid network than I already do ...

I'm actually starting to like Adam, although I don't think he has his culinary point of view yet. He's fun to watch if he hosts a food show (like Ham on the Street) instead of a cooking show.

are you kidding me. they have already chosen aaron. the fnw ratings are down, they had to return advertisers money, due to lack of ratings. they are moving in a direction to add more african americans, to attract that 13% of the population. this is probably a good thing as we need diversity, however of all the good african chefs on iron chef they chose to give us the neelys. talk about dumbing down. whatever they may gain from the 13% they will lose from the87% . aqaron is a shoo in
especially since the public has no voice. regardless aaron is the best of the three left. shane was the better chef, although young.

Either Lisa or Aaron. But no Adam, I can't stand him, I probably know more about cooking then he does.

At 7/14/2008 8:21 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Aaron is my choice...good food AND a good personality. Sure, he stumbles a bit in front of the camera, but he is very likable and with practice he will get smoother. Lisa may be an "expert" with the food, but she is so full of herself and unapproachable I would NEVER watch a show featuring her.

At 7/14/2008 9:38 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

i think that kelsey should have been in at least the top 3. adam might have personality but he has the least amount of cooking skills which is important on a COOKING show. aaron i could deal with winning, but i wouldnt watch just because he doesnt stand out to me. lisa wasnt my first choice to root for, but seeing as they kicked my two fav ppl off she is next in line. they probably knew who was going to win as soon as they picked the contestants, i swear, keeping adam around...total madness.

At 7/14/2008 9:47 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

aaron or lisa better win. they consistently put out good food. both need to work on their camera skills, but that will come with practice. what's with the lack of on-air demos and challenges this season? i feel that the focus on adam last night and his serious camera time about needing to find his POV might be setting him up as the winner. with all the reality tv i've watched, it just felt like they were setting up the story line of adam being the winner.

At 7/14/2008 10:20 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I do like Lisa, but if she doesn't stop squinting her eyes, I'm going to scream. And I certainly won't be able to watch her on a television show if she does that.

You can your bippy that African American chefs around the USA and the world are wondering why any Neely would be allowed on TV.

This Gina Neely is gaining momentum in quickly becoming the most annoying person on FN period, so perhaps Aaron can bring back some of the viewers of color that Gina drove away?

This season of TNFNS is so pathetic I think it would be wise for Lord Ferengi & Co to devise another type of competition, cause this is a huge black mark on his FN resume.

At 7/14/2008 11:04 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Well I thought Kelsey did a heck of a job and wish her a happy and fullfilled life and hope that she spends it cooking on TV. She is just a kid but really has some talent and such excellent raw talent.

I hate to see anyone go now since they are all so good and have worked so hard. They do have all their weaknesses so we can certainly criticize all of them. I just wonder if we could imagine the stress they are under with these ridiculous, unatural challenges? I think they have all done a great job and deserve a lot of credit to hang in this long.

People are complaining about the show looking for personality but that is at least 1/2 the battle in finding a FN Star. You can teach a person some cooking skills, you can't teach personality or that IT factor.

My heart is with Aaron still but do think Lisa or Adam could do a great job as well.

Oh and I used capers many times abd very successfully and had no clue what they were. I knew what they TASTED like and I am sure AAron knew what his adobe pepper tasted like too.

I'm very disappointed and angry that Kelsey got kicked off this week. She may have referred to culinary school too often, but she did so in conjunction with KNOWING things. How can she be criticized for not being authoritative enough but Adam goes on to the final three, despite a near universal acknowledgement that he has a nice personality but very little food knowledge and inconsistent cooking ability?

Aaron can cook, and he has a good personality, but he never has both at the same time. That's kinda a job requirement for a Food Network star!

Lisa is interesting, and I'm not going to write her off entirely, but she can be intimidating, and her personality bounces back and forth from fun to irritiating. I think she'd get a lot of viewers for her first 2 to 4 episodes, and then see a sharp dropoff when the schtick wears thin.

I would have watched a show with Kelsey-I think she could have had a show where she made cooking accessible to newer cooks-an important demographic, given the college-aged viewing market. I don't see myself becoming a viewer of the remaining contestants.

In 2008, I'm sad to see that people are still overtly racist and obnoxiously ignorant. If you think FN is going to lose white viewership because they put a down to earth african american on their network, then wtf is this nation gonna do when Barack wins the presidency?

At 7/14/2008 11:41 AM , Blogger Maria said...

Kelsey should have gotten a show about cooking with your kids or something. In that sort of setting, Bob's irrational fear that she isn't authoritative enough would not matter. In addition, that fear is completely bogus. She knew what she was doing. Just because she was perky does not mean that she wasn't knowledgeable, and Tuschman was the only one who thought as much.

At 7/14/2008 11:46 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I second that Lisa needs Valium and a Martini! She's wound tighter than a slinky! The thought of watching a 30 minute show with her is about as tempting as sticking a needle in my eye! Ugh

At 7/14/2008 12:02 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I wouldn't watch a show with Aaron as the host and it's not because I'm racist. I just think he's kind of painful to watch because he's so unsure about the cameras and can't multitask as far as cooking and engaging the viewer. I also don't like his voice, but I didn't like Shane's, either.

I've liked Adam since before TNFNS even started so I'm glad he's still in it, but I'd be just as happy if he had a more personality-driven show instead of a cooking show. Maybe that's what the judges are thinking, too.

It's obnoxious how Lisa keeps coming to this blog and defending herself when she hasn't even gotten kicked off TNFNS yet. Is she doing that because she IS the winner and wants people to watch her show, despite the "bad editing" she's gotten? If so, she's lost me as a viewer, and I predict she's done the same to a lot of other people too.

It's going to come down between Lisa and Aaron with Aaron winning. He's got a good personalty, good food and his dishes are more down-home comfort food than Lisa's "fru-fru" dishes.

I know he has a problem with cooking and talking at the same time, but with practice that can be overcome. Lisa doesn't have the personalty... she's too cold and grim. Watching her in the kitchen is like watching a robot.

With time tight and $$s tight these days, who wants to spend a lot of time and $$s in making a "fru-fru" meal when a good-tasting simple down-home meal is cheaper and simpler to prepare? Plus, most of the ingredients for Aaron's dishes you have in your pantry or can find at your little local market. Who has duck confit in their pantry? I don't and my local market sure doesn't.

I am not sure if anyone else noticed but during the ad for the new shows I saw Adam looking down at some food and talking to someone. Does that mean he won the NFNS and got his own show? Please confirm if someone else noticed it also.

I don't really get the warm feelings people have for Aaron. Yeah, he seems like he can cook, but he doesn't speak well at all, he's terrible in front of the camera, and he has shown no signs that he can host his own show. I think he would be a disaster on TV. He seems uncomfortable, he has a muddled speaking voice, and as he showed last night he's not very knowledgeable. Being a good cook is simply not enough.

I think the judges actually hurt this show -- Bob and Susie continually dole out these vague instructions to their contestants. "Owning" dishes and "sticking to your culinary POV" and "showing more authority" and "telling a personal story with a dish." Give me a BREAK. My favorite cooking show, by far, on the FN is Tyler Florence. But what is his POV? He cooks absolutely everything. Outside of occasionally talking about discovering a food in another country, how does he tell me a personal story with each dish? Oftentimes, it seems like Susie and Bob just like to hear themselves talk.

I have little doubt that Lisa would make the most interesting host.

At 7/14/2008 12:15 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

And by the way, it kills me to hear so many people slam Lisa because of her "fancy" dishes. This will be the ruination of the Food Network. Do you people want fifty recipes for mac 'n' cheese and PB&J? I'm sick of this inclination toward "simple" and "easy." Even the most difficult dishes are possible if you're willing to work a bit. I don't want to turn on a network devoted to cooking and see basic things I know about already; I want to learn and expand my palate. FN seems to be gearing toward dumbed-down, "hausfrau-and-kid-friendly" food more and more and that's definitely not a good thing. Anyone who thinks Lisa's meals are too complicated clearly doesn't know much about cooking or is just too lazy.

I didn't say her dishes where "too complicate" I said they were "fru-fru" which means too fancy. Just because a person doesn't have the time or $$ to spend for expensive ingredients doesn't mean "they don't know much about cooking or just too lazy." You can still expand your palate using simple fresh ingredients that don't cost a arm and a leg.

I don't think that Paula deen had to be so tactless in saying that she " hated " the lobster macaroni and cheese...

Frenetic decribes Lisa to a T.

She will not garner any new "home cooks" if she wins. Not many viewers will identify or bond with her.

Paula Deen did not hate the lobster mac/cheese. She really liked it. It was Lisa's mac/cheese made with the goat cheese she hated.

Why is there this premise that Aaron can only appeal to an African-American audience. This man appeals to a wide spectrum of people. It doesn't matter what color you are ... if you try his food... chances are you are going to be hooked. Believe me - I've seen all races consume Aaron's culinary creations for over 2 decades and they ALL love him. His charm and personality are bigger than life and he is outrageously talented.

Who wouldn't love the Big Daddy on their TVs smiling up a storm while constructing culinary masterpieces with everyday ingredients you can find in your local market.

BIG DADDY AARON - The Next Food Network Star !!

(Lisa Rocks too !!)

IF Aaron wins, he will become the next Guy F. God save us all!

And I really want to poke Lisa's eyes out. STOP SQUINTING!

I wonder how TushcieButt feels now, having canned Kelsey while she continues to lead the "fan favorite" poll?

Utter disaster!

Lisa, where are you to further sing your praises about Flayster thinking your dish was the best representation of cassoulet he had ever consumed?

I hope you won and have since been canned for flapping your horse gums all over the damn internet. Everything about you is so harsh, from your hair cut to your personality, that I can't stand to watch you. (The squinting is what really pushes it over the top, though.)

Bertski: You are right. All races can watch and appreciate Aaron if he wins. I think his chances look good. So what if he is yet Captain Smooth. With a good editor, they can do wonders.
It would be foolish to think that Aaron's win would be based on attracting all viewers, when clearly Tushwipe has his sights set on increasing viewers amongst black folk.

Lisa crys too fucking much. What is wrong with her? She's also far too technical and arrogant. Aaron can barely speak English and Adam can't cook... but then again, look at that tool shed Guy that won TNFNS. Anything is possible.

At 7/14/2008 5:15 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I agree with the poster that said this:

"She will not garner any new "home cooks" if she wins. Not many viewers will identify or bond with her."

It seems to me that Lisa wants to be on the Food Network just for the sake of being like "Look at me, I'm on TV and showing you how wonderful I am because I can make fancy food and show off my designer clothes". It doesn't appear to come from a genuine interest to help home cooks, to make gourmet food accessible. Although last year's winner's show didn't succeed, she at least made it clear that she wanted to bring gourmet food to the average cook. Lisa's just an ice block in Prada clothing.

Adam may lack the culinary skills that Lisa does, but at nobody can accuse him of not being a warm and welcoming personality. And I, too, resent Fogelson's (another ice block in designer clothing) saying that Adam is "learning on their dime". Adam, like many of us, is just trying to pick up the pieces and start over again.

Kelsey took her elimination with grace, and I doubt that Lisa, if she is eliminated, will be that mature in her exit. She'll probably pull a Rory.

Final TNFNS challenge: Find out where the hell Lisa's eyeballs went.

"Editso Island" is right! Who has duck fat in the pantry??? Who has 12 hours to make a bean dish??? Once again "The Norma Desmond of Dallas" shows what a cold and snobby-snooty fish she is. I am pulling for Aaron, his food is the most deliscious looking, but I could take Adam. At least they have personalities that are likeable. Lisa comes of like a guard in a prison camp. And the woman can't make mack n cheese?? She is so out of touch with the "home cook" that TFN wants to appeal to. Anyway, you can teach Adam to ccok and Aaron to multi-task, but you can't teach Curella to be likeable.

And Kelsey came off gracious and professional and will have a spectacular culinary career someday.

At 7/14/2008 5:43 PM , Blogger Unknown said...

I am definitely pulling for Aaron. There is something about both him and his food that, to put it plainly, I just like.

Adam would be OK to. He seems like a cool person.

Lisa on the other hand, is NOT my favorite. Without taking being nit-picky about her haircut and her squinty-eyes (which are somewhat...er...distracting?) she isn't someone that I could watch for quite a few reasons. I don't have time to cook the way she does, and I don't really care for that type of cooking either.

And as nice as Kelsey was, there was something about her voice that really bothered me. She was a cute and professional, but there was just something that made me want to mute the show whenever she had camera time.

At 7/14/2008 6:23 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I was stunned Kelsey didn't make it. not because I liked her, but I thought she'd be JUST the kind of perky pest the network would slaver over. I'll bet they go with Adam since they have proved cooking is no longer a prioroty at that network.

At 7/14/2008 6:42 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Kelsey got robbed! WHY IN THE WORLD has Adam made it this far?

At 7/14/2008 7:17 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Although I really have no desire to watch any of these people beyond TNFNS, I do think that they are all being victimized by Food Network's inability to be clear about what they really want. Back in the day, folks sent in tapes and it was about "loving hands at home". Now, it appears to be more about personality and marketability.

Now that's fine BTW - it IS a TV network after all - but the pretense that these folks need "food chops" is increasingly laughable.

FN needs two shows - "Mr. or Mrs. Home Cook makes Good!" and "Food Professional gets a Shot at the Bigtime"

"Mud Wrestling with Tushogelman" might be a good mid-summer fill-in too just to sort of "mix it up".

At 7/14/2008 9:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Wow, 45 comments and counting...

Letting Kelsey go for a lack of experience is silly. They should approach her for some kind of gig anyway. So what that she's a recent culinary grad without a lot of real-world experience? Most of the FN's audience haven't traveled far beyond their own kitchens. Yes, one of the reasons you watch certain FN shows is for the fantasy appeal, but someone like Kelsey could be an easily identifiable TV personality whose hook is, "I'm new, you're new, let's learn together."

I like Aaron a lot, Adam I have no real bead on and I'd like to think his regular-guy shtick could be of some interest because not everyone has to be a French-trained chef.

But I like Lisa and I think she'd make for a great food-fantasy show. Look, Lisa can be prickly and intense and a perfectionist, and she has a strong, type-A personality.

So does Bobby Flay. So does Rachael Ray. So do Guy Fieri, Giada Di Laurentiis and Sandra Lee. Lisa's personality type is exactly like half the FN cast right now. Don't give me the bull that she's somehow unlikable or not relatable because she's prickly. Two words for ya: Jackie Malouf. FN darling Bobby Flay was informative and a great cook, but so grumpy and arrogant they had to have Jackie Malouf throughout most of "Hot Off the Grill" just to warm him up, keep him on point and give the audience someone perky and cheerful to watch.

Aaron could gain a following with his own show. He is different than most of the network's stars. FN does not need another starshow that fits in with the mold of the others.

His dishes on the Las Vegas challenge looked really good. I really wanted to taste the Chicken Parm!

Good Luck to Aaron.....

The attacks on Lisa are so moronic. Do you have everything in your fridge to make the meals that Tyler Florence and Alton Brown make? The point of watching cooking shows is to learn. What's the crime in having to -- shock and horror! -- go out and buy a few things for a dish? You make it sound like Lisa has been sprinkling gold dust on her dishes. All this hate directed at her sounds like jealousy. She's the only one left who could realistically host a cooking show on the FN.

You make it sound like Lisa has been sprinkling gold dust on her dishes.
Well, it may as well be "gold dust." One of her favorite ingredients that you just can't run out and buy at your local Piggy Wiggly is duck confit. Most people would have to order it and just for the heck of it, I checked on-line to see what that would cost. At a food seller in FL (Marky's) one 7 oz. leg cost $8.62 plus a $3.50 handling fee and $28.00 for Fedex priority overnight (only way they would ship it) for a grand total of $40.12 for one little ol' duck leg! But, I guess I could hunt, dress my own duck and then spend two days doing the salt cure and a slow poach in duck fat.

Just so you know, I don't care if I have to run out and get some ingredients for a dish... as long as I can find them at my local market and they don't cost two arms and a leg. And that is why I prefer Aaron's dishes over Lisa's. You can still learn, but you can learn with ingredients that's available to the masses and don't cost a fortune instead of high-dollar specialty items.

People who can afford "gold dust" dishes don't eat at home, probably employ a chef at home when they do eat in, and have no interest in watching FN to learn tips and recipes which may include duck confit or truffles.

Lisa may very well know food, but it would be rather blatantly obvious that she was looking down her nose to the home viewer if she were to host her own show.

If FN can still have that abomination Sandra Dee still on air, having Adam be the Next Food Network Star would be a huge step up. I would eat his lobster mac and cheese way before I would eat the swill that SD puts out.

And that Lisa--I am glad she is still on for the entertainment value alone. She is a shrink's wet dream. I used to just hate her, now I hate her and feel sorry for her. She needs some serious meds.

Shane was the best but food doesn't matter. Look at Aunt Sandy and Rachael Ray. RR will even tell you it's all about the story telling. They are entertainers and then cooks.

Yeah Lisa and her $300.00 blouse. And her food is uppity too. Oh, and her son's palette. Pulease

I am so so sad Kelsey is gone. Now I hope Aron wins!

Never mind Paula saying she hated the mac and cheese (just plain mean, "I really didn't like it at all" was sufficient), how about the fat pig complaining about the size of Kelsey's dishes? She said one of them would be good as an appetizer. An appetizer? Really? You'd eat all that and then dinner? And probably some dessert made with a stick of butter and mayonnaise? Gee, I wonder why the U.S. has such a problem with obesity? I wish more of the food network folks would cook a little healthier at least some of the time. And that would include presenting things in smaller portions.

like i said before ....you americans never cease to amaze me with your predilection for all things trashy, DUMB, and barely literate...hence the reason why adam will emerge the winner here...he dumbs it up enough for you ppl and he's on most american's intellectual level no doubt...and i love how you all like to perpetuate "i'm not rascist ...aaron is just boring"...yea boring cause he's black and has skills...lol...no wonder your country is in such a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how in the hell could anyone like shane???what an idiot....!!he's such an insecure, elitist little boy...he was not interesting to watch and felt a sense of superiority that as a chef he clearly has not attained as yet...and the same goes for Kelsey..all they did was gloat about culinary school and nothing they did exemplified any sort of superior technique...and what is with the "too hip hop" comment??....you ppl are so rascist ...

Hmmm... To the person who posted the last two comments:
Before you slam "us Americans" for our low intellectual level and for being "barely literate," how about learning to spell "racist" correctly???

Ha! Good one. Personlly, I don't think we Americans should be judged by someone on a reality show. If you want to prove that we're stupid, you could, oh, maybe start with the guy we elected as president. Twice.

Paula Deen is a country cook who tells it like it is. Lisa's cheese and mac sounded terrible while Adam's had more character and charm. I know very few cooks who could relate to Lias's recipes and mannerisms. Why does she have to squint so much!
She is annoying on the opposite way that Kelsey is in being too cute and precious. Food network does not need anymore Gina Neeley, Rachael Ray, and other loud mouths. Nor do we need a Mormon cooking show. Sorry but Kelsey will work her religion into her show. She can not help doing these types of actions.

Paula Deen is a white trash redneck with a mouth as big as her butt...And,my cat has better manners...

Adam screwed up--he didn't talk to the interviewer at all. His cassoulet was gross. But he stayed. He might be cute to some viewers, but I simply find him annoying. Not over-the-top, just annoying (please tie him up and toss him in the corner). All of the crap regarding "being an expert" doesn't make sense, as he clearly served undercooked food too often.

Aaron makes incredible food, but is horrible in front of the camera.

Lisa needs a makeover, but can certainly cook. Still. She's not Ina (who is incredibly condescending and not terribly creative). I don't get the "intensity" everyone keeps stating. She's focused but squinty. I think her trendy outfits are usually ugly or silly (Giada wears high-end designers but doesn't look stupid). Last year's winner was snotty-but-knowledgable, and cried all the time.

Chelsea might have appealed to a younger audience. As long lost child of Rachael and Sandy, she should have stayed.

This season sucks.

Lisa should not be allowed near sharp knives. Actually, someone please ban her from ALL knives. She needs to make some serious cuts in her caffeine consumption, and soon. I think Adam should win. He hasn't gotten AS emotional as Lisa or Aaron. They're supposed to win a FOOD show, right? Lisa cried over meeting Martha Stewart. I laughed so hard. I would not watch a show hosted by a person who thought Martha Stewart was some sort of role model. I was hoping Adam would make some jailhouse rock lobster sauce or something to commemorate Martha appearing on the show. Everyone is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too serious about this. The lesser of three emotionals would be Adam and some of his recipes actually sound really good. Go ADAM! Oh, and I also made the spock ears comment to my husband. This show is a HOOT!

I agree with whomever wrote that Bobby doesn't like Adam. That makes sense that he would be future competition. That would suck massively if that were the reason Adam didn't win. In order to get through a show hosted by Lisa I would need dramamine or something. Watching and listening to her go at warp speed makes me queasy. Aaron's eating-disorder-disaster should have been cause for dismissal, I think.
