Nigella.com Hit by Malware

Aubergine = eggplant
SQL Malware on Nigella.com = You might have a virus now

Nigella Lawson's website, nigella.com, was compromised by hackers this week after an SQL (structured query language) attack installed malware, including a Trojan, onto the domestic goddess's website, PC Advisor reports.

Visitors are advised to update their anti-virus software and run a scan, as they could potentially be infected if their browsers were not fully patched.

"High-profile websites such as Nigella Lawson's must realise that they are becoming an appealing target for these cyber criminals. The compromise of legitimate and trusted websites has contributed to a 278 percent increase in web-based malware for the first half of the year."

******************************

Is it just me, or is Nigella kind of fading off of Food Network (USA)? I'm not really sure why she doesn't seem to be catching on as well here in America, compared to the rest of the world. Hopefully her appearance at the New York City Wine & Food Festival in October will bump up her support.

I used to watch Nigella but I'm having trouble with her. First of all, what you show is a good picture of her. She's enormous on the show and I find it kind of creepy when she hits the refrigerator for that late night snacking. I think she thinks she's still sexy... she's not, she's just obese (and truly, it's not a fat issue, I adore Ina) and it's just gross that she pretends she's this adorable, sexy thing going to the refrigerator when she's really a very large woman who has no control.

maybe she is just comfortable with herself and her image. Sexy is in the eye of the beholder and I prefer not narrowly define sexy as being small. It is about much more than just your body.

Funny- I agree with both of the sentiments in the first two posts even though they are 180 degrees opposite from each other.

I think Nigella is a beautiful woman........but I too agree that the whole "going to the fridge at midnight" bit is so NOT sexy on a woman who, frankly, could lose a few pounds.

And, I think it's rather predictable to always have that be the last segment of the show.

I dont think this is the reason she is not catching on in the US, though.

I've stopped watching her simply because I don't find her recipes appealing.

i am glad she isnt around much anymore.
she is sickening with her fat big butt bouncing around and her arrogants.
in my opinion she isnt any great cook and her accent i find fake and veryyyyy annoying.
now i hear she isnt leaving any money in her will to her children.
she has proven to be a pig in more ways than one.
at the end of her shows when she has her company eating the meal she made slurping and using bad table manners really is sickening.
let her go back to her roots wherever that slimmy rock may be.
i guess she got where she is or was beacause of, you know what they say, its not who you know its who you b...! ciao ciao

I think Nigella is not catching on because : 1) her food is not that great and her technique is nothing special. Her recipes have been done hundreds of times on food programs since the 70's.

2) Her late night runs to the fridge are unsettling and give an impression the woman is a glutton.

3) While a trust fund child herself, she recently publicly declared she would leave her children zilch when she either exploded or passed away. Child labor advocates think children should be compensated for being a part of her lame cooking shows.

4) The American public are tiring of hearing stiff British accents . Too much Oliver, Ramsay, Lawson, Blumenthal. Not surprising, Nigella the NON chef is forgotten first.

I don't think we will miss her too much. I know I miss the Two Fat Ladies now but when they were on repeatedly I hated them. Probably happen with Nigella.

oh i liked nigella. i didn't have a problem with her. i think she is actually very pretty. some foods she cooked weren't that appealing to me but isn't that the same with every cook or show? you like some things and not others.

I know a woman who was bodychecked by Nigella at a lavish buffet at the Four Seasons in NYC.
Nigella was set on the last cuban lobster tail as was this woman I know, and Nigella went in like Lawrence Taylor on a full blitz and put the woman down for a 10 yd loss.
Her hip action is legendary.

I love Nigella! You people saying she's "fat" and "obese" are probably fat ass's yourselves! Get a freakin' life! *roll eyes*

Judging from the bigoted comments above, apparently Nigella is fading from the network because superficial and judgmental Americans are too busy obsessing over her curvaceous figure. She clearly has a wicked sense of humour and frankly I think the 'fridge raid bit at the end is meant to be tongue in cheek (as in JOKE).

Then again, it seems most of FN viewers are more interested in watching some anorexic alkie sling a bunch of pre-packaged crap together and call it food, or watch some cackling cow slather herself with butter and Smithfield pork fat.

Get over yourselves. Frankly, I think Nigella is too damn good to be on FN and I say bon voyage to greener pastures.

good point there....you american pigs sicken me to the core...the masses of you live in filth and have no idea what is "classy"....hence the reason why you love white trash like guy fieri and racheal ray...all you ppl want is everything "dumbed up" for all your lazy asses!! so get a life!!

If people allegedly don't like Nigella because of her size, then why do they LOVE, LOVE, Ina? Hmmm..seems a fallacy there in the reasoning. She is definitely "rubenesque" but that has no bearing on my watching or not watching her show. Now it happens to be the time slot, I don't even think about her being on.

Nigella is a lovely and talented
woman. It is very sad to read all
the hateful remarks about her size
and what she cooks. Have any of you
taken a good look at Rachael Ray
lately? She is no size 6 and her
cooking also is for a niche market.
At least Nigella is very well trained and knows her food.
Lastly not one of those posting ever made a late night fridge raid?
What is that about glass houses?

First, its funny and totally unsuprising that its strictly the women who can routinely expect to have critiques of their weight included in an evaluation of their overall performance.

Second, her time slot stinks! Instead of the endless, incredibly unentertaining reruns (especially of shows like food network challenge, gah!) why don't they give the great shows some more air time!

And while I'm ranting, more Alton Brown dammit! :)

First whoever said Nigella is well trained is smoking ice.

The broad never went to culinary school and learned some of her stuff on the Sloane Ranger cocktail circuit and Daddy was able to land her a gig as a magazine "contributor".

With this foothold, she managed to "manuever" or hoover as some say, to achieve greater things.

The woman is in love herself and her butt.

She looks like a monster and as such this is not sitting well with American audiences. RR and Fieri might be white trashy etc.. but at least they made themselves, and not were created out of trust fund cozy existence.

Too bad it didn't work out. That's life.

Jamie Oliver's accent is considered stiff? I'm just one of those ignorant, classless Americans but I definitely hear a difference between his and hers.

As for the rest of of the comments, is it any wonder so many girls--and it really just does seem to be just girls--that are literally dying to be thin.

Well, you know a website has crossed to a higher level of awareness when it starts drawing crazies who can't spell their own insults.

I thought Nigella was a lot of fun. Who cares if she isn't a trained chef? I enjoyed most of her recipes and I enjoyed her sauciness, which is part of her whole shtick. Yes, as someone mentioned earlier, the midnight raids to the fridge are not meant to be taken seriously. I've cooked her tomato and bacon hash many times, which comes from an episode where she supposedly got in late at night from a party. Right, and a camera crew just happened to be set up and waiting for her! C'mon, people, lighten up already.

I think FN probably doesn't fully get behind anyone they don't own. They likely don't have a piece of whatever projects Nigella is working on, so they're less invested in promoting her.

As for not leaving her kids any money, I don't know about that. Y'know, it's possible she was kidding.

Jamie Oliver is a supreme wanker. No he doesn't have a stiff accent, he plays up his semi Cockney and sounds like the uneducated masses who inhabit East London.

As for Large Marge Nigella, I'd need a couple of bottles of whiskey if I had to knock boots with her.

I guess breakfast the next day would be good though.

Wow...I am just going to read the blog from now on and skip the comment section. There is a piece in a recent TIME magazine that explores why people get so ugly when commenting on blogs. Ugh.

I love Nigella, but she makes things I don't think many people make at home, kind of like Emeril. Even though her dishes seem to be very simple, white bread with warm milk on it doesn't sound appealing to me... But who knows.

I wish she would have some more color on her show too, its very dark.

I tend to think Brits in general are fading off FN as they promote a more home-grown portfolio of shows. Jamie Oliver isn't promoted nearly as much as he used to be, and Nigella's promos are darned near zero. This from the network which used to run Jamie and The Two Fat Ladies seemingly around the clock!

(RIP Jennifer Paterson... I still miss you)

Would it be ok to do the "going to the fridge at midnight bit" if she were a large-size man like, say Mario Batali or Emeril Lagasse?

I love misogynists.

I like my women to be a little Crisco...fat in the can.
Seriously, I think Nigella is hot. She gets the sensuous nature of food and eating. She's also very playful and witty...which may put her above the intelligence level of some of the "she's fat and I don't like limeys" folks who have commented.

Anon above hit it that ONE on the head. I thin her intellegence and her accent scare of the typical FN viewer, They are so used to Aunt Sandy, RR and Paula ,That Nigella is just too sophisticated for them and in reality I think she is. She is almost wasted being on FN

Sean, give the milk and bread a try, with the sugar on it, its makes for a really nice snack

I think Nigella is lovely and clearly passionate about what she attends to. Anyone who cherishes spices as much as I do, clearly appreciates food!

I love Nigella and have missed seeing her on FN. I don't care what her weight is or is not. She's an absolutely beautiful woman and person, and the woman can cook! Her dry wit kills me.

For all of you making fat comments, have you looked around you lately? America is chock full of fat ass, nasty people. For every 10 people on the street, 8 are grossly obese. Before we start bashing the ladies abroad, the fatties here need to step away from the midnight fridge. Including Ina.

I am American and I love Nigella. I think she is a beautiful woman who loves food. I always like to see the end of her shows when she grabs a midnight snack. She obviously has a sense of humor.
