Technically, I think it should be deh-loh-REN-tees. But there are so many dialectical variants in Italian (they've really only tried to have a standard national language/pronunciation since after WWII) that it's too tough a call.

She may be 38, but I think her boobs have a different "birthdate" -- it always struck me that she and her mom had them done together as a mother-daughter bonding thing...
May I be the first to say that I hope she gags on her birthday cake.

I never thought Giada was all that attractive (but hell, I also had no idea that she was nearly 40, so I am certainly more impressed now knowing her age).
But she must be waaaaay better-looking than I realized because woman are completely, insanely jealous of her. Hence the hilariously negative comments on here every time she is mentioned.
I have to disagree with Anonymous. I DO think she's attractive, but she annoys me. There's a difference, hence why I write the snarky comments about her. I just can't stand her, but she is pretty. It's a precarious tightrope I walk, but I manage. lol
She is pretty and she has great recipes but she's a bitch and a snob.

You can work hard and still be a bitch. I love her recipes but that's about it.
To follow in her grandfather's footsteps, Dino, she would need a heck of a lot more talent than stirring food together.

Please, Sean, all the hate on Giada does NOT stem from jealousy. (Although you could say that Giada's catty comments toward other women stems from it.)
It's more like her holier-than-thou attitude. She's shown her true colors and they are ugly.
The only reason she even got a show is because of her last name...and that's a freaking fact. Even though she was TERRIBLE, her show was ordered because of her famous family name.
Therefore, she has NO reason to be such a b!tch to others.

I always noticed Giada pronouncing it "Dee" not "Day". So I'd say that's what it is.

I've watched her show and I don't see diva, I see very charming.
Her true personality comes across on the last few seasons of TNFNS, not her scripted show. Duh. Where have you people been?
Well, I've met her briefly twice. Both times she was just lovely, down to earth, and authentic. I've seen her at our local grocery store as well, making a salad at the salad bar, just like the rest of us. TV is a brand, a personality. Real everyday life is what matters and in real life, she is someone that I admire and respect.

Hey Kelly you are so right. I have met her also and she is VERY nice. My nephew met her at a book signing and she was super with him.
Her food is good is simple.
