D.C. Free Paper Pondering, Plus Paula
As far as D.C.'s free daily papers go, Express wins. Examiner loses. And a Paula Deen article today just proved it.
What's with the lack of photo caption or credit. Is the Examiner refusing to acknowledge Michelle Obama or Paula Deen? Is this some kind of political jab?
(Joke, people. I'm not gonna become a puhlitkul blog. This is just the only thing of interest in today's stories.)
D.C. blogger and fellow Ultimate Recipe Showdown tastetester* Jordan Baker recently discussed the free paper turf war she encounters on a daily basis. If you're local, you know what we metro-riders deal with.
Anyhow, here's a clip of the above-mentioned "insert caption here" moment on Paula's Party:
* I heard that SEASON 2 of Ultimate Recipe Showdown is currently in production at Food Network in NYC. Let's hope they've worked out the Fieri/Summers probs that plagued the first season. Marc better be there, though. I'm gonna be mad if Guy took it over completely.

I didn't like Ultimate Recipe Showdown because they advertised it as being for "home cooks" and then they put that lady Camilla, who has several cookbooks, in TWO categories.
Using a professional cookbook author, and letting her win, totally ruined it's credibility.

Wait until "BO" raising your taxes. All the people who own companies who employee all the middle class people will be OUT of work because the companies won't be able to affort the taxes. So where does that leave us!!!!! Anyway, this is a FN Blog not politics and will never say another word about "BO" or McCain.
FN should follow suit. Having Michele Obama on Paula's show tells us who they are voting for.

Ultimate Recipe Showdown is moving to NYC too?? Sheesh!!! The show was bad enough as it is (with Guy FERRY and Mark as well as the low production value) ... But, moving it to NYC and giving it a 2nd season will make it suck more ...
Not gonna watch Paula this week ... Her show has gone down the tubes since they moved it to NYC to cut costs & get more NYC-based celebs ... Way too much of the "Queer Eye" guys and other loons/liberals ...

anonymous 9:41 you are so RIGHT. These people just don't get it. Wait until their tax's go up, etc. All they hear is the word change. Still haven't really heard what he wants to change.
I was so upset when I saw this person was going to be on her show. I used to look forward to watching Paula. I can say now that her political issues are going to get in her way. I will not watch hsr again.... I wonder if this is going to hurt her ratings?
