Morning Show Roundup: Ina, Tyler, Sandra, Nigella, Mario
So many Food Network stars are showing up on the morning shows these days. I can't keep up!
This morning, Ina Garten made her first appearance (according to Diane Sawyer) on Good Morning America.
I love how Ina says she "splits the difference" when trying to cook her Thanksgiving dinner in one oven by just using one temperature for everything -- this, coming from the woman who has three ovens in her barn's kitchen, two in her home, and about four more temporary ones in her garage when she's shooting her TV show. :-) Maybe she's saving energy and only turning on one these days, though.
Sandra Lee also hit up GMA recently. She made some kind of raspberry mustard-crusted chicken that sounds completely unappetizing to me... but she seems to enjoy it.
Sandra has been putting "internationally renowned" in her bio for a while lately. What exactly does one do to get "internationally renowned"? Does that mean you got a good book review in Canada? That the hotel staff in Mexico recognized you? I'm not sure.
Tyler Florence has two new books out now. Naturally, he appeared twice on NBC's Today show this week. Here's one:

BTW, I saw the ad on Food Network for the Thanksgiving special with Ina. It is coming, getting excited.
What's Nigella up to? A new book?
Has Mario lost some weight? Or is it because he has on a dark vest that he looks somewhat thinner?
Amy Sedaris is always fun! Loved when they added too much wine to the meatloaf, and she said to just leave it out in the sun, like sun tea. :-)
Gosh either Diane Sawyer is an amazon, or Ina is teeny. Gosh, she is always so sweet and imformative.

I thought Kathy Lee retired for good. That laugh of hers is disturbing.
Why does Ina insist on wearing the same black utilitarian uniform ?
For a broad pushing 60 yrs old, she looks quite healthy and youthful and should be proud to appear much younger than she is, but the outfits could use some work.
Amy Sadaris' book is the best ever!! If you have not checked it out yet, you really should. Jacob, I think you read it at my house.
Aunt Sandy needs her some makeup! Lat night's cocktail has landed in her eyes!
I think the Food Network should have their own morning show.
Funny you should mention her lack of makeup. I've never seen her look so attractive. Just low-key, no make-up, hair pulled back. She looks great. Maybe she should take note and not spray on make-up like a transsexual.
Mario definitely lost some weight, which is a good thing -- he was getting dangerous there for a while (ever see him try to hug someone? almost impossible). But he's one of those fat people who doesn't quite lose weight, but simply "deflates" -- hanging curtains of loose flesh swishing about.
ina dresses the way she does because she is fat. if you ever saw the anniversary show with pix of her at her wedding and later she used to be ( like most of us) VERY slender.....she look slike a dumptruck now in comparison.
she also looks fine the way she dresses. trust me, you don't wanna see any of ina's extra flesh and she doesn't want you to see it. so she dresses her AGE.
Does anyone have Ina's new book yet? I found it to be a bit drab. Great pictures but the majority of the recipes are really lame. I was expecting much more from her and rather disappointed. Particularly the dinner section. Baked shrimp, Tuscan lemon chicken, and wild mushroom risotto? zzzzz.....I think she went TOO basic, like she was telling people how to grind peppercorns. I guess for a beginner who is not familiar with her or is new at cooking it's a good book to have.
I heard Nigella signed with the NY Giants cause they needed to shore up the defensive line when Strahan retired.
