Behind the Scenes at Ina's - Part 2

I got to meet Jeffrey!

This pic at the bottom was actually shot the next morning. We all had to put on the same clothes we wore the day before to do reshoots of the tour in her garden and by the house, since they thought it was too dark the night before. There was a big time crunch and we were worried we'd miss our flights going back, so it's kind of funny that they ended up just using the night footage after all. None of the stuff we shot the next morning made it in!

Thanks for watching, if you did. I only sounded like a dork for 90.5% of it!

It was wonderful! You were great -- and what a fun hour of television!

(I thought the pie bird thingy was very odd. Ina looked sort of embarrassed carrying it to the table. Why wouldn't simple vent holes work?! Silly Alton.)

Great Job just got done watching the show!!!!!

You didn't seem nervous at all!
That looked like so much fun!
Tell us were you nervous?

Jacob, I was so happy for you! You looked great! Not only did you get to meet Ina, but you got to mingle with all of her friends. How cool was that? I didn't think her special needed the addition of Alton or Sunny. They only used recipes that were hers or similar recipes of hers anyway....Robyn

You were fantastic, Jacob, and what a great show! Ina was truly at her relaxed and charming best.

The gingerbread intrigued me, too, so how was it?

*Soooo* many questions, but I am hoping you will give us a great, long post on your impressions, anecdotes, and behind-the-scenes fun.

Congratulations again -- this is a keeper on the DVR. :-)

I loved it!! And I loved seeing you. You'll have to tell us which dessert was the best!

My only thought-there is no where for me to find good fresh berries in my supermarkets around Thanksgiving. (for the cheesecake recipe she sent you).

Nice going Jacob. BTW, The blonde guest was good looking girl she looked like "Good Vanilla", LOL. I am happy for your experience, I wish something nice like that happened to me.

Nik T. -- AB did a complete apple pie episode and explained about the pie bird, it was even the same pie bird, it has to do wo with how steam vapors get trapped in the pie.

Fantastic show!! I love Alton, but wished the show was just Ina for one hour. It looked like so much fun, I'm so jealous. I thought you did a great job.

Ina was so comfortable and relaxed, she really seemed to enjoy herself. Jeffrey stopping by was a great touch. However, where was TR?????

Can't wait to hear more behind the scenes stuff.

Jacob, you were a champ!! You're gonna be riding this high for a long time, trust me. *wink*

The show was very relaxed, very enjoyable to watch. I was grinnin' ear to ear the whole time. I'm glad they used the evening shots, cuz it gave the viewing audience some sense of the day's timeline. It was well done.

How long ago was the show taped?? Which of the desserts are you gonna make next week when you're in IL? We're all very excited for you and eager to hear more. *smiles*

That was the best "Dear Food Network" so far. I really enjoyed Ina as a host.

Did you get to try Alton and Tyler's desserts? They both looked quite good...

Jacob..too cute. I loved the awe in your eyes. How wonderful of you to have experienced this. Ina is one of my faves on FN. Her humor is great and her food is always sophisticated. I hope you have an amazing Holiday season.

Hey two comments, first the snarky one:

* Love when the little girl says in the coptor, "Look, it's the ocean" ... Ummm, yea, that would be that big blue area. :-)

* Two, you should use the Ina and you photo for your holiday cards. The outside would have the photo and say: This Christmas ..." Inside: "Make it a good one."

:-)

I saw the show last night too. I just love Ina. Like Alex-the Diva said, her food is sophisticated, but it's not snobby. I am so jealous of you, but very glad you got to go and have a wonderful time. Good to see Jeffrey pop in at the end. I think he is precious.
