Stuff I Wrote: Celebrity Chef Restaurants on Delish.com

Watching celebrity chefs/personalities on TV is one thing, but eating in their restaurants quite another. Luckily, so many of them are opening up new eateries all across the country—from Beverly Hills to Tunica, Mississippi to Detroit to DC to New York.

Read the article I wrote over on Delish.com to find out more about them.

Food Network regulars like Paula Deen, Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, Cat Cora, and Michael Symon are covered, plus Top Chef's Tom Colicchio & Spike Mendolsohn and the D.C. sensation who's now opening up shop in Beverly Hills, José Andrés.

Yummy!

Check it out.

Top Chef winner Harold Dieterle's restaurant Perilla is very popular in NYC.

And in the summer of 2009 look for Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard's The Drunken Goat in Chicago.

Thanks for the article. Good read.

Bobby Flay opened up a new location of Bobby's Burger Palace near my home in New Jersey last weekend. The burgers are very good but missing is the alcohol that the Long Island spot serves. I really wanted one of the Frozen Cactus Pear Margaritas! I've been to Mesa Grill and Bar Americian also. (Mesa Grill is better)

Mario Batali's Lupa is my favorite restaurant in NYC.

I think Emeril's restaurants may be overrated. I thought the one in South Beach was just ok. I did like the one in Vegas though...but that was years ago.

Paula's The Lady and Sons is just about my favorite dinning experience ever though. I have been there 5 times and whenever I'm in Savannah I'll be sure to stop in. Sorry haters but it's great food and a good value for the price... Paula Rules!

I can't wait for Rachael's.

Bobby's burger joint sounds fantastic and easily duplicated around the country. Might be stealing the thunder from Rach....

I had the pleasure of dining at Paula's Lady&Sons two years ago. It was phenomenal southern food, the atmosphere was wonderful and the hoecakes were to die for!!!

I also attended one of the last "cooking schools" that she used to put on at Uncle Bubba's restaurant and it was a lot of fun! She spent four hours in a small room with our group along with her husband Michael and brother Bubba. She was very laid back (not loud like on Paula's Party) but she did tell some funny stories and a dirty joke. Michael was the most fun and not creepy at all like some say. He made alot of fun of himself and how uncomfortable he seems on TV. He had a very, very endearing personality.

Johnned ... Are you from the South ? Well , I am and I've eaten at The Lady and Sons recently... Mediocre food ... Overated & overpriced . Very , greasy ... Very salty ... And , the wait ! Not representative of good Southern cuisine or hospitality... Just standard fare that you could find at The Golden Corral or Cracker Barrel chains ...Paula Deen needs to rail in the " spreading herself thin " bit and pay attention to what made her famous... Because believe me it's suffering !

No Lynda...I'm from New Jersey. You may know Southern cuisine better then me but that doesn't take away from the charming experiences that I have had at The Lady & Sons...the last being in August 2008. I had wonderful comfort food and by NJ/NYC standards, it is very reasonable. I am not saying that I'm an expert, but I have been lucky enough to go to many of the best restaurants in NYC weekly. I love food and know what I like. Sorry you didn't have a nice time.

Whenever my husband and I went to Lady and Sons we loved it, but we only went once because of the wait. I work in restaurant and hate long waits -- about 30 min. is my limit. But the food was wonderful.

Christine :)

Paula Deen telling us that a porkchop is OK is really something! Miss medical expert. The woman cooks with so much butter and fat that anyone who used all that would have clogged artieries to end all clogged arteries.
Otherwise, it's fun to watch her, y'all. Just dont take her too seriously and lower the volume of her shrill voice.
