Rachael Ray to Host 2nd SXSW Party, Indie Kids Cry Once Again
She said it'd probably be a one-time thing, but Rachael Ray's done changed her mind and planned another party at the SXSW music festival in Austin.
Last year's Rach party featured the Raveonettes, Holy F--- and the Cringe, the band fronted by her husband, Jon Cusimano. This year, her "expanded party" could feature 10 to 12 bands could be booked. MTV claims that "a couple of fairly huge names" — the Hold Steady and the Airborne Toxic Event — have already committed to play.

I was actually going to go to SXSW this year, but have to be back in IL during the same week. Sucks. I've wanted to check out Austin for a long time. Hear it's lost of fun. Someday, I suppose.

I totally agree. It sounds like a great time.
I'm watching her now and she gave her line about storing nuts in the freezer because "nuts have lots of oil and oil can spoil" but okay, so why doesnt she keep her oil in the fridge? I know some oils can go rancid FAST but most do not. What is up with that???
I would love to visit Austin too. Mainly for the food! I've heard Rachael say on her talk show that it's one of her favorite cities.
I'd love to find out if her husband has a future as a musician. Looks like she is buying him friends and exposure.

You NEED to go check out Austin. It is the best town in Texas. Don't wait for SXSW or RR, go check it out on your own.
He would be crazy to leave her. Colby would be happy...LOL.

WTF is wrong with her husband -- does he even live in the same house with her... Rachael is having MAJOR health issues and you would think her Ass of a husband would want her to stay home for a change and take care of herself. She needs to be hosting this shit for her husband and his mid life crisis inde band right now?? Seriously Rachael. Stop and take care of what is going on with your vocal cords! Seriously! Without your health, it is all for nothing and John may have to get a real job!
Nuts that you are not going to use right away should be stored in the freezer to prevent mold. It is difficult to tell if they are moldy and molded nuts can contain toxins that are poisonous! Better safe than sorry.
i heard guy fieri is playing SXSW this year as well.
Excellent story but it's a sorrow this woman has had a lot of difficulties during her life because she's so beautiful.
I liked so much what I read about Rachel's story, besides I have to say that Rachel is so hot I like her.
