Don't be HARD on Food2-- it's in SOFT Launch!

Shhhh!!! Food2, a not-very-secret project that's been in development for about... forever over at Food Network, is currently live online in what those fancy inside folks would call the "soft launch" stage. (That's official person speak, you know.)

Food2 is only up in blog form right now, but be on the lookout for more very soon.

Another Scripps/Food Network URL, food.com, is also live in beta. So many new sites! Let's hope they got the goods.

Umm... this is the first time you've mentioned FOOD2. What's the product? Besides blogs. FN stars or a new breed of "hip" shows?

I was wondering about Food2. Wasn't it supposed to launch in January?

Umm, am I supposed to know who Mark Levine (the guy who's posting on Food2) is?

I like the "5 Kitchen Tip From The Bachelor." I guess number 1 should be: get your woman really high on pot-filled brownies and alcohol before humiliating her on national TV.

Cmon Jake. You can't fool us. It is becoming quite obvious you are on FN payroll in some way.

I think Tuschman and you hatched a plan a few years ago during your secret summit to have you be the "bearer of good or bad news" and it would be better coming from you than someone more close to Chelsea Market.

We can smell plant like you a mile away.

Say hi To Bob for me .

I don't know who Mark Levin is, either.

Alec: Sorry, but that's not correct. I'm pretty sure their general feeling toward me is "why pay for something we can get for free." Again, if that changes, I'd be transparent about it.

Ok now your getting warm.

I mean someone has to be throwing you a bone once in awhile. Ina Garten's Thanksgiving is a good bone.

Tell us if you bought a pass for SOBE or were you comped ? That's a good bone. Hanging out with Ms.PopMyCherry is a bone. Mosh pit dancing with Gina Neely is a bone( forget I said that)Strike that.

Something is going on. Being ex- CIA I know these things.
