Food Network Addict Video Interview: Sunny Anderson
It was great hanging out with Sunny Anderson again down in South Beach after not seeing her since our last meetup in New York this past June. We sat down right before her second cooking demo and chatted about what goes into creating her recipes, what inspires her, and how she really feels about the nice (and not so nice) comments people make about her on this, and other, blogs.
Sorry if the audio is kind of screwy. We were in the greenroom and right as we sat down for this, Sandra Lee walked in to get interviewed by someone... so we had their chatter in the background... and THEN we get an unexpected guest at 5:23. Take a look.

Sunny is my favorite new FN personality. She is fun, she seems very genuine, and her dishes are soooooo flavorful. Love her!
I like her too. Because I feel like she just cooks what she eats. She doesn't act all high and mighty, like she know everything, and she doesn't have to stress that everything she makes is super simple, or ready in 30 minutes!
She must cook alot then.

Awesome I sooo wanna be the 1st to make Sunny cry from my vile hate-filled comments!! HAHA! Not! No way. Although I'm not a fan of her show she seems really, really genuine and sweet and like Jacob said you can't judge a person from a 30 minute show. Oy vay I simply must give her show another shot. Thx Jacob for posting I love the behind the scenes scoop!
Sorry but for me the woman is just a total yawn. Pretty much like everything on Food Network these days.
Bleah. Jacob: I know you like Sunny Anderson, and I'm sure she's a swell, fun, super nice person. But this isn't the "Swell Fun Super Nice People Network" -- it's the FOOD Network, and I'd kind of like the people who have cooking shows on the FOOD Network to actually, you know, be able to cook and stuff.
If Food Network took every minute they've devoted to Sunny Anderson and Big Daddy whatshisface and gave those to Alex Guarnaschelli and Anne Burrell, I'd be a happy man.

@Anon 6:52 - Their reruns are hiding in daytime. Caught Alex at 8:30CST on Monday and Anne maybe at 1:00CST on either Monday or Tuesday. I would honestly bet their shows are just between seasons. I can't imagine that FN wouldn't have renewed them for second seasons.
Of course, the talent may not be on board for more seasons....
I'm with you Andrew. I love Anne and her show. I've learned so much in just a few episodes and I like her personality too.
I think Alex is probably on a break from her show because she is on Chopped and it was renewed for alot more episodes.
Sunny and Big Daddy--someone help us. So many shows with all the same crap just with a different host.

Nice way to leave knowledge with the popular Youtube. This topic has been capturing my attention since the first entry, and also I've been reading all the people comments in the others similar blogs.
