Rachael Ray Sux Community Shuts Down, Domain Available to New Rach-Haters
Sad news for Rachael Ray detractors. The site formerly known as Rachael Ray Sucks (rrsux.com) has shut its virtual Rach-hating doors.
Someone pour out a bottle of EVOO for the site's homies!
I never checked out RRSUX regularly, so I might be a bit late in the game here. Madeline's post actually prompted me to take a look at the now defunct site. Former moderator Misty now just has up a message about moving on and life being "too short to be so negative and mean-spirited."
Life isn't too short to make a buck off of the negativity-fueled site that's been featured in Newsweek, USA Today, and others. It's up for sale, says Misty.
How pissed would the folks be if RachaelRay.com bought it and did a redirect?

Hmmm. I'm all for critical comments about the FN and it's hosts - but to dedicate years to HATE? Umm, yeah. That's about as healthy as some of Sandra Lee's recipes.

I tried foodnetworkhumor a few times and just felt really...dirty...each time I did it. I never visited rrsux, but I imagine I would feel similarly had I ever ventured over there. There's just something wrong with devoting so much energy toward being mean to somebody. I don't know that I'm a particulary sugary-sweet nice person, but I'm happy to see that there are some levels to which I won't stoop.
Life is too short to spend on negative thoughts and energy. My husband lost his mom recently and we always know that life is too short. THIS TIME...We both realize that life can be short and unpredictable. You never know...so please spend all your time on the positive things in life.
Misty had a thing or something with RC (the RR warm up guy). So I guess you can say it was a conflict of interest?
As a part of doing business, the companies I have worked for have had to buy a ton of domain names that defame them, why should Rachel Ray be any different. If you own ".com", you need to own ".net" as well and you should own RachelRaySucks, rachelRaySux. Just as Food Network should consider that they don't own http://foodnetworksucks.com/ Hell FN doesn't even own http://foodnetwork.net/.
Maybe I should buy up all the evil names and sell them to Scripps

Leave it to Madelemming to gloat. Rachael did not win. Misty Lane's star-struck eyes when RC Smith started paying attention to her did.
She allowed said "comic" to flame posters on her site, thus breaking her own terms of service for posting on the blog.
Misty Lane then played the guilt card; her mother died and when the stuff hit the fan she went all passive/agressive on her own community members.
Both my parents are gone and I appreciate life; it's also fun to snark on the eminently snarkable. That doesn't mean I'm "bitter" or 'jealous" or need to "get a life" (I've had those invectives directed at me, and more; generally in poorly-written and misspelled missives).
Not all people are Pollyannas, no matter how good or bad their life circumstances are. Some people have a certain type of humor that apparently makes Food Network Humor, the BoredBoard, Amuse Biatch and others among the most popular sites on the internet.
If you want sunshine blown up your ass, go to the FN site; they sanitize everything to even make Sandra Lee look like Julia Child. If you want healthy recipes or commentary from people who may not have TV shows but can cook up a storm, try SkilletDoux, Meathenge (okay, he's not very healthy, but a helluva master of the meat) and its ilk.
I still say the Rachael Ray Media Conglomerate bought her off.

Yeah, Misty has gone onto good things. Like telling a member she hopes her daughter gets raped and calling this said member a C***. After allowing the stand up comic from the Rachael Ray show bash and say vile things to members we all left when we discovered she approved what he was doing. And when called on it claimed innocence. She had played the dead mom card more than once.
The new site is a lot better than her moth eaten site. We talk about all kinds of things that have nothing whatsoever to do with Rachael. Something on the old site that would have gotten your post deleted. We are all a lot happy over there because we are allowed to voice out thoughts.

Misty wished rape and murder on my daughter and published a aerial photo of my house on her site, giving my street a very vile name. I have also received strange things in the mail that I attribute to her, knowing her level of maturity (similar to ordering 10 pizzas to someone's house). At our new site, we don't just concentrate on Rachael, and I believe the site is humorous and not hateful. You and others like you take advantage of "opportunities" that RR gives you so you can bash her, but when the shoe's on the other foot your suddenly up in arms. The comments Misty dished out to you are just as equivalent as the hatred you spew about RR or anyone else that gives you such "opportunities". I'm sure you won't see it that way, however.

And Charles, the difference is that RR put herself out there. Anti-fan posters are not celebrities getting rich by misleading ignorant people. RR herself said she didn't care about criticism and that you can't please everyone. Why then do others care if she doesn't? But frankly I think she cares very much and that's why she pays people to troll for posts about her.
Hate site or not, Rachael Ray continues to suck.
Looks like the domain is still up for grabs. My suggestion for anyone interested in it is to just sit out the domain registration, then register it yourself in November for $10.

When you signed up to be a member of such a crappy site, you opened yourself up for whatever comes your way, baby. I don't understand the need to get personal in the comments here. I am a fan of Anthony Bourdain but I realize he isn't everyone's cup of tea. I'm certainly not about to go around accusing people of insanity or threatening violence just because they don't agree with me. To each his own, etc.
The Founder of the website rrsux is a loser. I was watching the show with my wife, when she starts bashing how Rachel looks, how she talks......has this chick Misty looked in the Mirror? Maybe if you spent as much time in the gym as you did on your website, you might have a life of your own and not be obsessed with a tv personality. And just to clarify, I am not a Rachel Ray fan, I actually find her a little annoying, but I do what any other normal person does: I turn the channel.
And buy the looks of the diarrhea that I have at the moment I should be pronounced dead. But what does that have to do with anything, you ask? Because it is the byproduct of the whole foodie craze made popular by the Food Network. Diarrhea.
