Happy 39th Birthday, Bobby Deen!
Bobby Deen turns a youthful 39 years old today. Someone's gettin' a lot of spankings tonight!
(Not to mention the ones he'll be getting for his birthday, too.)
The bodacious bachelor that is Bobby just keeps chugging along. Brother Jamie writes that the two of them will be in Altoona, Pa. this Sunday for a food show. No word on whether or not Mommy Dearest might show up.

There are posts on some of Jacob's other blog stories where women have said that they dated him. On the most recent podcast on Jamie's blog Bobby talked about a girl he dated in Minnesota once upon a time.
Personally, I think he does date women but I also think he's gay! Using them as cover, I guess. You don't see pictures of him at an event with a girlfriend. He's never taken a girlfriend on Paula's yearly cruise. Yet his employee best friend & next door neighbor, Mike, is always there. He even shared the dinner table for the "Dinner with Bobby" raffle winners on the last cruise.
I feel bad for all those women if he was using them as a beard -- even if he managed a bedroom romp from time to time. I'm also a little jealous.
I believe that it is no one's business to out someone or ask someone to out themselves.
But there is one exception.
If an obviously closeted man is doing things to damage the lives of other LGBT people, like rallying against LGBT rights and equality on talk shows or public forums, he should be exposed.
I don't believe Bobby Deen (if he is gay) has done anything of that sort. I don't know or care what his politics are, so he could have donated to anti-LGBT causes for all I know. And if he did, he did it as a private citizen which is his right.
As long as he is not using his celebrity to harm other people, I believe he should be left alone.

But, Anonymous 4:08 you are posting an act of slander. I believe that is a felony charge -- if you are caught. You should speak to a lawyer and find out what you can or can not post on a blog. I agree with the poster "Scott" unless Bobby Deen is actually hurting someone -- leave him alone. His sexual orientation is his business -- not mine or yours -- so stop worrying about it.

Bobby Deen is a mystery, many can't figure out which side he is and I think we may never know. For some reason, whatever it may be, he wants to keep that part of his life private.
I have noticed however, that he is beginning to say one thing, and then say another that is the opposite of what he said. Example would be an interview where he talked about the dog (Georgia bulldog) he got Jamie and stated he got one for himself. However, on Paula's dishes that showed a few days before the interview, he stated (as well as Paula did) that he doesn't have a dog.
Whatever Bobby is is his business, I just hate to think he is trying so hard to hide his private life that he makes himself look like a fool.
You make a valid point except for the fact that the show may have been taped months in advance before airing. I don't know how far in advance these shows tape -- but perhaps (and may just perhaps) this show was taped say 3/4 months before he actually bought a dog. Plus, I don't know when this interview was taped as well.
But going back to the subject -- why should he tell you or I what his sexual preference is? He wants to keep it private -- its his right. Where is it written -- that you must tell everyone that you are hetrosexual or homosexual if you are on tv? I bet most people don't know that much about their local politicians. I bet if your local politician came out and
announced he was leaving his wife and family for his "gay lover", you
would be shocked. But all in all you want to know everything that you could possibly can about Bobby Deen. That makes no sense at all.
I say unless my tax dollars are going to feed him and his family--
I couldn't give a flying "hoot" what he does on his off time.

So I wasn't the only one to be confused by his statements about the bulldog. In the interview it sounded like he got both bulldogs at the same time and I know Jamie has had his for approx. 2 years (I think it was purchased for his 40th b'day). The interview also stated that Bobby purchased the dog for himself and his girlfriend and when they broke up that despite her being a great lady, he wouldn't let her keep his dog. And since "Best Dishes" has only been on for less than a year.... Of course, he could have gotten rid of the dog at some point - for whatever reason.
Bottom line: We can speculate all we want, but he has every right to keep his private life private. And maybe we should just leave it alone. Except all of us, even those who condemn the speculation, must get some sort of voyeuristic pleasure from doing so. Otherwise none of us would be viewing this blog.
The bulldogs that he talked about in the article were purchased before Jack was born!! Best Dishes was filmed I think about four or more months ago in which he states he didn't have a dog. The article where he talks about the bulldogs was written about a month ago. He very much is contradicting himself. I am seeing him do this more and more, especially when he mentions anything about a girlfriend, which he has only begun talking about within the last few months.
I don't think it matters if someone is gay or straight, that is there business period!! His contradicting himself though makes me wonder if he is under pressure to present a picture that isn't him. I actually am feeling sorry for him.
So he had a dog wrote a cookbook and there is suddenly no dog? Makes you wonder what went into some of those "Best Dishes".

George Clooney although he has been seen with many women, so did Rock Hudson; just because Bobby Deen does not flaunt some dumb wannabee brunette girlfriend on his arm does not make him anymore gay than any other single eligible "straight" bachelor....you catty women and gaydar police need to back off this southern gentleman is STRAIGHT! Just because adorably hot Bobby Deen is from the country, a momma's boy and does not publicly display his affection, does not mean he is “Ennis Del Mar” from Brokeback Mountain. Give me a break people, my husband and I married when he was 39 years old, never dated anyone before me and lived a happy single bachelor life and had dinner with his mom every night....he is no more Gay than Bobby and all of you haters are just SPECIAL...like EAT the paste special, SO go back to “sniffing your glue” and eating the paste, because you are all out of your mind if you determine a man is gay because he does not screw every woman on the Mississippi River!
Bobby is certainly not gay. The reason that us exes don't come out with any pictures or stories is out of respect for a great guy. Don't get sucked into everything you read about him. Not all relationships end for bad reasons. Rumors are childish and hurtful.
If he is such a great guy, then way haven't the exes come out to defend him. If they were to come forth and speak positive about him, then all the gay rumors would end. This has not happened, which makes for more curiosity as to if he is gay.

These are pretty general statements which go along with the statements he made when he was named one of People's magazine sexiest bachelors. He's waiting for someone to take his breath away, someone that knock him out, etc., etc..
It is just recently that he has begun to even say anything about girlfriends, could it be he is under pressure to present an image that someone else wants him to be. I still think he is gay and just doesn't want to or will not be allowed to come out.
He also made these same statements in an family interview for Good Housekeeping. That was over a year ago, no girlfriend produced. Just come out Bobby would you, save everyone the trouble of guessing!!!
It is possible folks that Bobby finds both men and women emotionally and physically attractive. Why is everyone so quick to label him, or anyone else, either gay or straight? Maybe he doesn't have fried chicken for dinner every night! Perhaps he prefers a steak now and then. "Qick, Bobby decide what you are so we can label you!" Either way his moma will still love him and his fans will still tune in.
You know it's too bad he is on the wrong side of the fence....but he will make some man a good man someday!
