Bob Tuschman Gets Promoted to General Manager of Food Network
Farewell long workplace titles!
Bob Tuschman, Food Network's former Senior Vice President of Programming and Production, has been promoted to "g.m." of the network.
In addition to what I'd guess is a hefty salary bump, Variety says that Tusch will continue to perform his regular duties and "[develop] an overall strategic direction of the network."
Congrats to Bob. Look for him when The Next Food Network Star returns this Sunday, June 6 at 9pm ET.

I think I would rather be Senior VP instead of General Manager. It sounds like a demotion not a promotion, oh well good luck to him.
LETS HOPE HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NEW COOKING CHANNEL.
IT'S GREAT AND THEY COOK TOO NO SILLY CRAP. TAKE THAT GORDON ELLIOT WITH YOU TOO BOB.
With this demotion, I was hoping we wouldn't have to see his elfin Ferengi face anymore on NFNS.
Maybe that is why Princess Pumpkinhead is now co-host. Bob's gonna be busy minding the shop making sure nobody steals chocolate chips outta the FN kitchens.
Ever notice aaron sanchez has really short arms for his body. I have.
One person can only produce so much extra food before becoming overworked. At this point in human history, humans turned to animals to help.
Let's hope he has nothing to do with the new cooking channel...
I wish the Food Network had fewer gimmicks and more quality food. Please, no more Paula Deen, Sandra Lee, Sunny, etc. They aren't chefs and their food is gross.
I like Ina, Giada, Tyler, Marcela, Michael Chiarello (sp?) and usually Bobby. Their food is healthy and won't send me to the ER.
And FN needs more ethnic food. I'm glad they finally have a Mexican food show, but they also need an Indian food show, a Chinese food show, a Lebanese food show, etc. Join the 21st century!
Best of luck Bob!
To whom this may concern,
My name is Justin Murray, i've been a fan of "the food network" for many many years now, my mother: Victoria Murray has owned and operated her own catering company for many years now and has cooked for some high end people, too name a few; Chris Chambers, Daunte Culpepper and many many more.
Ever sense I was a little kid food has been apart of me like air to the human body. I have made it my goal in life to de-construct foods and make the concept of your everyday foods like Lasagna, I've created (62) different types, ranging from breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 desert lasagnas.
You can say that i have followed in my mothers foot steps.
Ever sense I was a little child in Florida, I would remember my mother coming home from the "Art Institute" of Fort Lauderdale, so tired and exhausted from school, but still want to cook for us kids, and make us what she has learned; and I was always the first in the kitchen waiting my tasks to help, weather it would be grate cheese, set the table or what ever it was, as long as I was in the kitchen with her. For Many years now my mother Victoria, has had this dream of opening her own restaurant, and that time had come a year or so back; "So she thought" the gentlemen that was supposed to have "co-owned" the restaurant with my mother fell through, and was just deemed "shady" in that area, and my mom's dreams have fell through the cracks.
In the mean time, I attended the "Art Institute" of Charlotte, but only completed a little bit due to financial reasons, But it gave me a concept of the idea of my mother and I opening u a restaurant and I came up with the name and she came up with the concept and we just felt it was what we are supposed to do in life; Food is our passion and food is our life.
Our dreams got shot down once again, the economy took a turn for the worst and we (my mother and I) let this dream slip through our fingertips.
I had moved to California, due to Florida being one of the worst states in the U.S for employment, and my mother sold All of her catering equipment and her personal belongings, including her car, so she could move to indiana with my brother and his wife.
To make a long story short, I came across a show on the "food network channel" it was called "24 hour restaurant battle" and I know that my mother and I would be great contestants and show a great deal of passion on that show.
I would love to surprise my mother with OUR dream coming true, and I would love it if the food network could help make that possible.
Thank you very much for your time and have a blessed day.
