Adam Gertler's Show Delayed 'Til January
Not a good sign, methinks.
Adam Gertler, the season 4 finalist on The Next Food Network Star who still managed to snag a deal, will NOT premiere his new show Will Work For Food on Sep. 30, as it had been originally announced last month.
The show, which features people with unique food jobs, will not premiere until January 2009, a Food Network rep tells foodnetworkaddict.com.
What's the hold up?
The longer we wait the faster we forget.

gertler..... a sucky name too.
I forgot about him already. The delay will not help that's for sure. This stuff needs to be done while it's still fresh.
I think it's going to be great...I thought he was much more talented than many people gave him credit for.
By January nobody will care. Oh wait, that has already happened.
Naw, they're just waiting for the ratings for the other shows that suck. They'll slide Adam in -- probably on a Saturday AM to struggle.
Will we forget him? What's it matter? Aida who?

They must be retooling it. I still don't understand why everyone thought Adam had so much personality. I didn't think he was all that funny or charming.
I think this guy is a complete stain and Mr. Food Executive totally fucked up with his decision to give him a show.
Maybe they realize it wasn't all that great an idea aferall.
This whole "next FN network star" thing was probably the most amateur and embarrasing bit to hit airwaves in 10 years. Scripps should be ashamed because they it just confirmed their Mickey Mouse status.
Sounds like things aren't working out like Tuschie planned. I wasn't going to watch anyway, so this gives me 4 more months before I have to worry about avoiding it.

This guy might be real funny when performing for all his buddies at the synagogue, but he is class AAA jackass that has no clue whatsoever about the fine points of cooking. If this asshat ever gets on the air, his presence basically denigrates the efforts of those that truly set out to instruct and further our culinary knowledge. Maybe this joker needed to go feed his ego and try out at Last Comic Standing.
Maybe this incredible display of ineptitude might just get that weasel white haired dude fired for good .
Do you think it bothers Adam that MCCArgo got a show,has his own blog, refers to himself as a "Chef"?

Ouch...what's with all the Adam hate? I was looking forward to his new show.
There are so many new shows out now that I haven't taken the time to watch, so I am glad they are waiting. It can't be any worse than some of the new ones they have on now. If people don't like Adam, don't watch.
Adam strikes me as a guy that was breastfed up until he was 5 yrs old. I'll bet he didn't play sports either, except maybe some field hockey. What a tool.
You could call his show Cooking with Duddy Kravitz.
I've never seen an bigger display of ugliness. You people are being mean for no reason. Does it hurt you in any way if Adam Gertler has a show? No? Well then, shut up about it.
Sounds like they gave him a screwin! They stole his idea about interacting with someone from home on the PC, gave the show to Aida and are kicking him to the curb. Hope he gets himself a good lawyer!
gertler has zero ability, he must have something he can blackmail fogelson & tuschman with I don't believe there could be any other reason he has a show.
