Two Dudes Catering Tonight
I gotta be honest. I don't particularly like the title of Food Network's new show, "2 Dudes Catering." This may be a good thing, however, because you may remember that I felt the same way about Ace of Cakes before it premiered last August. Now, it's one of my favorite shows on the network.So here's the scoop on the show:
What happens when two young renegade chefs who play by their own rules enter the big time world of Hollywood catering? It's anyone's guess in this new docu-series following Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, two catering biz rebels who are trying to make a name for themselves in Tinseltown's highly competitive food
world. Do they have what it takes to cater to the stars and prepare food that will stand out as much as their personalities? Follow these outrageously skilled chefs and their offbeat crew on a wild ride of catering adventures.
So watch it and let me know what you think.

I’d like to see a show entitled “Two Dudes Getting a Haircut Before They Serve My Food”.
I thought the show was okay. It was interesting & amusing. I'll watch it again....

I liked it, though I'm possibly in the minority based on what I've read online today. People seem to mostly focus on their unrestrained hair, as if the dudes don't look exactly like the cooking staff of 98% of the restaurants in America. Anyway, it wasn't as technically interesting as Ace of Cakes, but I was entertained and would probably watch again some time.
They look disgusting...more like they belong on the show, "Caveman" and I sure as hell wouldn't eat a damn thing they'd come within 50 feet of. GROSS!

There may be some hirsuite fellas in quite a number of kitchens across America but hello - can you say "hairnet"??? They look a little too hippie chick for me to tune into (or cook for moi) - a little shower goes a long way. Too watching those sweat-a-thons on who wants to be the next iron chef has been a super gross out. Roberto desde la playa
I don't mind their hippie look. They seem like good guys & seem to be good at what they do. I don't really care what they look like.....

Are these the guys that called Cat Cora "the hottie"? If so, it's hard to have respect for that! So, hair... -1, tatoos -1, dissin' Cat -1 - I'm out.

why the hell is everyone so turned off by someones hair, as if their hair makes them any less of a human.
it is pretty retarded when someone automatically thinks they are horrible chefs because they have long hair!

Anyway, the show was awesome, and I can't wait to see the next episode! good luck to Jon and Vinny!
also, to the person who said that they wouldn't go within 50 feet of their food, that is bullshit, you would be there licking up all the juices from their food, even if it was on their hair!
Those 2 dudes are new dudes. The original Two Dudes Catering resides in a state where Polygamy Porter is a beer. We suggest those dudes have a sixer and quit using our name! Just kidding you long hair freaks....we love the free advertising!
I agree with Anonymous 4:29PM. These guys are part of the next generation of great chefs. They are who they are and love what they do.
I loved what some of you said about their appearance. haha! Good stuff. If their hygiene was a problem, do you think they would be able to obtain the clients they do? Now if you want to talk about hygiene problems, look at the guy who is making your meal at McD's? Or how about at America's favorite, Applebee's (GAG!). Talk about health code violations.
Anyway, 2 Dudes Catering gets two thumbs up from me.
its funny how some short hair guys say "get a haircut" and the long hair guys say any hairstyle is cool including the short haircut.
you all have NO clue. the reason there hair is long is b/c they are donating it to LOCKS OF LOVE...ever heard of them you fools. Vinny lost his Step mom to cancer so he is just giving back and Jon is as well.

I personally think they're great chefs, and I like how they look. You guys just need to get over yourselves. You're not going to die if you ingest a hair or two! Anyway, the show looks fun and I like the semi-laid back feel to it.
you guys are grossed out by the hair but if you ever ate their food you would have nothing bad to say if you tried.
i know these guys and I love that they are doing this there own way. where is the rule book that says you have to have short hair to make good food?

I love this show and I think they are both really sweet and great looking! I can't wait until their restaurant opens so I can try their delicious looking food!
